Blockbuster, Dish Network charged our debit card without notifying us, informing us of a balance due or asking us to pay Internet
Blockbuster rents unlimited movies to us, three at a time for a monthly fee of $19.99 charged to our approved credit card. The movies are picked over the internet and mailed to us. The movies can be returned whenever we want, no late fees. We must return a movie before another movie will be sent to us. On occasion we purchase used movies for Christmas gifts directly from a local Blockbuster store, using our debit card (checking account).
Without contacting us and asking for payment, notifying us of a balance due, or giving us the opportunity to pay or discuss a fee, the local Blockbuster store charged our debit card on 6/21/13. After a week long series of emails from us and contacting our bank to dispute the charges, the store called leaving a message they were going to refund those charges. Blockbuster is not professional, charged an unauthorized account and, most importantly, failed to notify us of the charges. We uncovered the charges 7/1/13 when we tried to reconcile our checking account.
Our relationship with Blockbuster has ceased. We are awaiting the reimbursement. Please be cautious in considering Blockbuster.
