Bloomspot.com is a bait and switch advertising operation, which acquired my email through deceptive advertising on facebook.  they advertised 50-70% off luxury car rental and when i got to their site and entered all my information there was no mention of any type of luxury car rental, but rather a knock off of other daily deal sites offering the usual lame things (BLOOMSPOT.COM IS A SCAM).

Bait and Switch?

AUTHOR: montgomery - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, October 30, 2011

I recently signed up for Bloomspot and I've been doing some research on the company to determine it's credibility so I can make an informed decision as to whether or not to use their services.  I have read some consistently solid reviews of the caliber of the businesses that they deal with and offer customer deals and consistently negative reviews of the quality of their customer service but I think you may have jumped the gun as to it being a bait and switch operation.  Evidently, Bloomspot does not make the same offers available to everyone but, rather, tailors them to the individual based on the interests you cite when signing up and also the city where you live.  The ad you saw may have been one that was available to some members but once you signed up and they made the offers more specific to your demographic, that particular one may not have been available.  Having said that, I see your point as you probably signed up because of your interest in that specific deal and were disappointed to find that it didn't exist...at least for you.
