in october 2009 we purchased a toy sharpei female from this woman.  after many delays
(she could not get into see a vet )  we got our one-year old dog.  she had oozing corneal
ulcers.  we were told that she had already had entropion surgery and her eyes were fine.
our vet did the surgery that same week and managed to save some of her eyesight, but
scaring makes her eyes look blue.  two weeks later the dog ran a fever/vomiting and
diarrhea.  her temp was 106.  she's now been diagnosed with shar-pei fever.  this is a
genetic inflammatory disease and will most likely shorten her life.  we have countless
vet bills for her.  this is an ongoing condition.
when she arrived she was smelly and dirty.  it was obvious that she had been fed before
putting her into the shipping crate.
ms. fraser stopped taking my calls after the fever started.  we have never received the
papers on this dog.  i trusted her because she sounded as tho she had the interest of
this wonderful breed at heart.  she does not.
i have owned sharpei since 1981 and never had health problems before.  the entropion
was familar to us, but this condition was also very severe.  she also had surgery stitches
all along the belly.  fraser said she had an operation to repair an imbilical hernia, but no
explanation for the stitches remaining.
our vet also said the dog appeared to be at least 3 years old.  i never received any
health reports or diet reports on her.  fraser thinks all vets are just quacks that do not
know their business and are really just after your money.  she brags about getting eye
surgery done for $65....any trips to the vet will automatically void your warranty on this
sale...she also had the payment sent to her daughter's bank account.
we had just lost our 12 yr.old mini sharpei and perhaps that is why we were so easily
taken in by this breeder.
we love this little dog and seeing her sick all the time is really heartbreaking

She has a pattern!

I am going through pretty much the same thing. I purchased a female shar pei pup from Christin and her daughter Alexia Lamb, who apparently will be taking over. Found the pup on an online pup finding site for $900. Called Christin and told her I would be breeding the dog....was told I had to pay $500 extra. That would have been fine if I could actually get papers. So not only did I pay for a dog that was advertised with AKC papers, I was ripped off an extra $500 with her knowing she didn't have papers for the dog. I had to drive over 500 miles each way to get the pup, and when I got there, I found out the hard way that she had a bad eye, and a hernia. I should have known to cancel the deal then and there and cancel my payment through Paypal.

Anyway, she made an elaborate contract stating I would get the AKC papers 90 days after purchase. My fault for thinking people wouldn't stoop so low, especially when my eleven year old was there for all this. The pup was a replacement for our dog who just passed away a few months before we purchased the female.

Please, whatever you do, do not fall for her b.s. Get the papers before you give any money! And you don't have to believe me....there are a few others on this site alone(who knows how many people she has ripped off besides these) that have had the same issue.
