Blue World Pools TIPS Nationwide Scammers Nationwide

Thanks to this website and others, we canceled our appointment with Blue World Pools!! I knew something was WRONG when the operator could not (or would not) answer any of my questions...instead she was all too happy to set up a 90 minute presentation appointment.

We set the appointment but I was still feeling uneasy about the whole deal....the old saying, if its too good to be true....yea. (always trust your gut instincts!! Your gut never lies!)

I set to work doing research and luckily I found out what BWP's is like before I was taken to the cleaners!! When I called to cancel the appointment I was asked why I was canceling and I told them "I found out your company is nothing but a scam" and guess what?? THEY DIDN'T DENY IT nor try to talk me into thinking any different!!

The salesman hung up and called his manager, we had a 3 way conversation (myself, the salesman and the manager) and I repeated myself...they still didn't deny it nor try to get me to believe any different. We hung up and I haven't heard from them since! (thank God)

If you've been a victim of a BWP scam, please contact the FTC. www.ftc.gov Also contact your State's Attorney General's office as well as the Better Business Bureau in your state AND the Nevada BBB too since Blue World Pools is based there.

Contact the General Manager of your local tv station that advertised Blue World Pool's bait and switch scam $399 pool....... I've found that these General Managers are very protective of their stations and they do not want to be connected with a scam advertiser and most GM's will do research into Blue World Pools..and hopefully yank their advertisement....thus saving all the viewers in your area!

Since this 'company' is based in Nevada, please direct complaints to the Nevada Attorney General's office as well.

The ONLY way to shut this scam down is to hit them from all sides, get your stories out to the media, the internet and the local public...so they can no longer operate their shady 'business' practices!

Office of the Attorney General Carson City Office 100 North Carson Street Carson City, Nevada 89701-4717 (775) 684-1100 Fax - (775) 684-1108

Good luck. Please help shut down shady business practices

You sound more like an employee and not a costumer.

AUTHOR: Cathy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, August 05, 2007

You sound too much like the sales representive then a customer. If what you say were true, the company would not have to lie, trap and misrepresent themselves. They would have enough happy costomers that they would not have to stoop to the tactics they use. From my own experience and reading other people experience I just can't believe there are any satisfied costumers. They are deceptive from the start. Just by advertising a pool they have no instention of selling. I just wished I had found this site before I called Blue World Pools. They don't do business they are scam artist and thieves.

Blue World Pools Sells For Thermo Spas

AUTHOR: F - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 01, 2007

Some information,

I have the inside information of BWP. It is entirley Atlanta based, the Carson City address is nothing more than a front. If you read your sales contract on most pool sales, if you file suit, you must file and go to court in that companies state.

Who can afford to file suit and go to Nevada to court? You did buy an above ground pool, not a far more expensive in ground right? How much money can you afford to loose? When it comes to suits, they have the right to arbitration, not a courtroom at their choice.

Last year BWP was given the south, mid Atlantic, south west territory for Thermo Spas out of Connecticut. The thing is, Thermo Spas arranges the installation and service, not BWP. When you call off their infomercials for a free dvd, in many cases that info is given to BWP and they call you fast for an appointment. You think the rep will hand you a dvd and not spend 2 hours presenting it. Chances are that sales person has no idea that is how the lead was set.

Here's the thing, BWP will inflate the reps par prices (bottom line), so high that if you do buy through them, you will pay far more than through the factory!

Since most reps are paid commissions only, with fuel prices, few stay around long.

The experienced sales reps are called road warriors and they get only a small draw and cover large areas, states even and can't survive long. The rep is not to leave your home until he gets Atlanta on your phone and hands your phone to you so the office can lowball the price and close the deal, if he can't.

The pool prices are 3 choices and in fact all are just simple steel wall pools of less than average quality, the advertised one the salesman is not to sell!

Most people will buy a pool because they do not or can not install one themselves, and that is how they inflate the prices. The idea is to get it as high as they can, so they can switch you over to what they want you to buy. If you want to know what a contractor will charge you to install a pool or spa, check and see, then go on line or to a retail store and get the pool priced first.

In general, the average steel wall pool with all the trimmings, no deck will run you $3500-$7,000 depending on the size and quality installed. Most installers charge around $750, then add the pool price.

These sales companies are just home improvement sales people that decided there was more profit in pools than siding, windows etc. Most use outside contractors and no employees, more profits and less headaches.

BWP is a father and son operation. The old Pittsburg PA concept is, to advertise a pool so cheap, you are tempted to call about and get in your house asap! Oh, in most states Bait n Switch advertising is guilty of a class one misdemeanor, $1,000 fine each, in addition up to $11,000 in fines if they keep advertising that way.

If the advertising company once notified continues their deceptive ads, then they too are liable in some cases. If they can show that advertised pool was installed, then it's hard to prove deceptive advertising. Pull out a tape recorder on your kitchen table and see if the rep continues or leaves. That sales person is trying to make a living, not the ownership and most are not aware of wrong doing, some are.

Glad it worked out for you

AUTHOR: S - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 11, 2007

Well I'm sure glad it worked out for you and hope it continues to work out for you.
I hope you don't have any mechanical or parts replacement/warranty issues.
I bet you'll be posting a whole different experience.

BTW, BWP's is being investigated right and left. They are shady pure and simple.
They've changed their business name each time they've screwed over all the customers.
If you chose to do business with a shady company like that, prepare for the consequences. You were warned.

Also btw, I was interviewed by our local news station that has been investigating BWP's for their practices and their station has found out way more information than you can possibly imagine AND dropped their commercial from the station.
They sure wouldn't have done that without good cause.

We did want the 399 pool because we plan on putting an inground pool in next year so we didn't want to invest any large amount of money into a pool that we only needed for a couple months while my 6 yr old granddaughter visited for the summer.
ENJOY your new pool. Hope it works for you.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

I Have A Blue World Pools , It is FINE

AUTHOR: Kim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 11, 2007

I just wanted to insert my 2 cents. I came to this website prior to our appointment. As with all things, all companies are going to have complaints, so I took it as that. We set up the appointment, knew exactly what was to be expected and RESEARCHED ionization systems ahead of time(thanks to reading this is what was used).

WE knew it was NOT chemical free, all sites state to use a shock or 1-2 gallons of bleach once per week. Also, it clearly states on the contract it is not chemical free. The upside is it cost hundreds less than a pool that does require ALL chemicals. If you dump 1 gallon of clorox in per week then you have only spent $2. I can live with that. We also went to 3 different pools dealers that have been in business in my area for years. We got prices on 24 ' and 27' pools. The lowest 27' we found of good quality was $7500 NOT including installation.

We had no intention of buying a $349 pool. Come on, if you are getting a pool for this price, then go to Walmart, they have 18' round pools for $449. If the website(BW) was visited, it clearly states set and install not included.

Anyway, we had our 3 hr appointment, and actually giggled after the salesman left because he was just way over the top. The presentation was a little much, I would have rather just got to the bottom line, but whatever. I have been in sales 20 years I know what they do, so we just let him talk. Anyway, the bottom line was good.

We ended up and around 10,000.00 for a good 27' pools, including the SAND which had been mentioned in another report, the leveling of ground, all set up plus solar and winter covers, an automatic vacuum, a good amount of chemicals and test strips plus an under the sink water purification system. So adding it up and IF you do your research ahead of time, it was a good deal compared to the other companies.

All went smooth. The pool is in, it is huge, everything works great. There is NO lien on our property, nor was there anything to sign stating this. If you do not make your payments, then I would imagine anyone would do this, however it is not done unless the buyer screws it up. It was very cut and dry, standard finance agreement etc. The only thing I can say I am not that crazy about is the steps. Other than that the pools is wonderful and excellent quality. Worth every bit.

One more thing I like to mention. The girls or guys that call to set up the appointment know nothing about Blue World Pools. The are just a call center hired to set appointments and read from a script. I know, I work for a company from home that is a virtual call center, and handle some of these calls. I knew nothing about this pools company, I just simply took the info in which to contact them. This is actually how I learned about it. I went and looked for the website, then researched and set the appt. via there.
