I was reseraching marketing companies and came across Blur Group by doing a search via Google. It was one of many companies I contacted seeking help for marketing our small business.

I submitted a form on their website that allowed me to provide an overview of what our business is, what our objectives are, and what my marketing budget was.

I submitted this form on June 23rd, didn't hear anything from them and I forgot about them since I was in contact with many other agencies that I did speak to and ultimately chose one to help us. On July 7th I received an email from a lady at Blur Group saying she had been trying to get in touch with me regarding my "project" and she gave me her phone number. I emailed her back stating that I didn't recall who she was or what her company was. She replied with a copy of the form I submitted that outlined what our business was about.

I ignored that reply because I already was working with another company and was no longer interested in learning about what services they could offer us.

I received a bill for $2,000 on July 21st from them. I replied and explained that there was a mistake, I didn't hire them to do work for us. I got a reply that stated that when I submitted the form to them that when I clicked that I agreed to their Terms and Conditions I was agreeing that I would pay them 10% of my marketing budget if I didn't complete my project with them!!

It turns out when I submitted the form, I didn't give them the correct phone number so they were unable to contact me. All but 2 of their emails were going into my spam folder so I never saw anything except for the email on 7/7 and the bill on 7/21.

This is apparenly their business model. STAY AWAY!!
