I purchased BoAir lifetime furnace air filters through their dealer RiteAir, Inc.  Their website, www.BoAir.net, says that the filters are 25 times more effective in removing dust, spores, dander, etc. than regular filters.

After using them for 2 months, I went to wash them as the directions indicate, and they were as clean as the day I bought them.  In other words, they did not remove any dust.

I tired to reach the dealer, RiteAir Inc. and was told that no one was available to talk to me.  I tried again the next day and a Pricilla said someone would return my call within 24 hours.  That was 10 days ago and I've still not heard anything.

I tried to call BoAir Inc at the number listed on the website.  All I received was a recording in which they said to leave a message and they would return my call.  That was 9 days ago and I've still not heard anything.

I tired to reach them at the email shown on their web site, and my email was returned stating, "No Such User Here".

Since the filters do not work and I'm not able to reach either the manufacturer or the dealer, I've concluded that it is just a scam.

WORKS FINE ON MY SYSTEM

AUTHOR: ZAP - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, April 27, 2012

I took the actual measurements. 3 times to be sure and wrote it down. I ordered 2 for my system and they work fine. nice tight fit and the filtration is just fine. The fit is what is key to the filter. Any gaps of the smalles size and the air just bypasses the filter no matter whose brand it is. I have since installed a new system and will be ordering 2 new filters for the new system as it uses a different size.

The dust and other matter was evident everytime i washed them and they hold together well unlike the filters that came with my new unit which were destroyed the first time i washed them.

i had to wash them often as at the time i had 3 dogs. sadly i now only have 2.

sounds like some body has a case of GET OFF MY LAWN.

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

BoAir filter top notch

AUTHOR: Ron - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, November 28, 2011

I am an ex-employe of boair. i was directly involved in the design and manufactering  of the electrostatic filter that is produced to this day. Our design critera was a filter that would capture the many types of small particles that merely passed through a typical disposable filter. we incorporated the newest electrostatic materials available. Additionally we combined these materials in a unique arrangement that upgraded the performance of these materials in a way that the individual parts of the filter could not possibly compete. The filter has a section that is designed to hold the particulates that are captured, in an area that is not readily visible. All of this was sent througout the design phases to an independant laboratory that specializes in air filter testing. The arrangement and the thickness's of materials were adjusted in a manner that optimized the verified performance of the filter in consideration of all the parameters affected by the air filter's performance.

Finally, the dealer has called me back and said that if I mail the filters back, he will give a complete refund to my credit card.  All I will be out is the mailing cost.

I have returned the filters.  I'm waiting to see if I get my refund.
