Bob's Towing These people are CRIMINALS! Fountain Colorado

My husband bought a Mustang from Bob's Towing. Within a few days, the car completely gave out. Turns out Bob uses forklifts to lift cars for inspection, and had screwed up the muffler, the transmission, the exhaust pipe, and several other things. I'm not much of a car person so I can't tell you EXACTLY what was wrong with anything but the muffler: a huge hole had been torn into it. The mechanic said that this was definitely not caused by wear-and-tear or rot. We are now going to have to put almost a thousand dollars into fixing the damage caused by Bob and his forklift. The vehicle was sold as-is, but all of this is a huge safety issue and it seems as though Bob was more concerned about getting his money than about selling an extremely unsafe car to a customer.

When we got home, my husband was furious and began to go back through the receipts of our payments to Bob. He found that he had been charged several hundred dollars extra. Bob's wife- who handles the sales- gave him several idential receipts. [I.E., three receipts said that he had paid $180 and still had $1200 to pay; he did pay $180 every week, but by the third receipt, the remainder should have been $1000.]

They also continuously lowered the price of his trade-in. At first, Bob said he would pay $1600. On our next visit to make a payment, Bob declared- without examining or test driving the car a second time- that the transmission was going bad and he would only pay $1500. These games continued until it was down to $1300, and which point we made him put it down in writing so that the price would not lower any more.

These people are extremely rude and very hard to deal with. If you're planning on buying a car from them, have a mechanic come with you and take a good look at EVERYTHING.
