Paid for a car wash and was told by the owner of the car wash that two small smears of dirt on the rear end of my vehicle was not something to complain about, as it was not part of the "car wash" I paid for. The owner then proceeded to up-sell me on my car being detailed. Certainly I know the difference of what to expect between a car wash and a full detailed job on my Mercedes Benz. This was simple dirt on the rear end of my vehicle, on both sides, that could have easily been resolved properly to my satisfaction. When i asked to have the wash rag myself, the owner told me they are for sale in the front. Obviously, this owner does not understand the meaning of customer satisfaction over a very reasonable expectation that know easily removed grime be removed by a simple "car wash". I will never attend or recommend this "car wash" to anyone.

Attitude

Attitude will get you a long way in life and on this site. Matte finishes do require more specific cleaning methods than traditional clear coat paints. But just like the owner of many other exotic cars you have a huge chip on your shoulder and won't listen. Had they taken a rag and wiped the dirt as you requested you would have complained about the damage it caused to this fragile finish. Dump your attitude and be willing to learn more about the proper way to do things.

Terrible Customer Service

The attitude of your comment is indicative of your poor attitude about a very simple solution, and what is expected at any car wash. Grab a towel and wipe off the grime as you did yourself with your bad attitude. I didn't take it out on an employee, it was you, the owner/manager of the car wash. Certianly I can afford the detailing of my vehicle; however, I paid for a car wash, again, you would expect some simple road dirt to be washed and toweled off of the vehicle. Fact of the matter is, if you actually provided me with some proper customer service, and not an ignorant and upset attitude, perhaps I would have happily returned to do a detailing at your business, instead, you have this rip-off report to deal with. Congratulations.

Expensive cars require extra care

Hi John, I'm sorry you werent happy with the wash you received.
Mercedes recommends treating matte finishes differently than shiny finishes. They say to wash your vehicle once a week and to take special care when you wash it. It is clear that you have not washed your car in at least a month.
Compared to glossy paint finishes, the surfaces of matte cars need to be washed more often and more gently. The most important step is to avoid creating scratches or swirl marks while washing. That means buying high-quality microfiber towels and soft wash mitts, and washing them thoroughly after each car wash.
Scrubbing tar and built up grime with a towel is not the correct way to wash your paint finish. We offer a hand wash starting at $24.95 and this would definitely put you in the right direction to clean your car right. If you cannot afford the time or cost of maintaining this exotic paint finish please don't take it out on your local car wash worker.
