I had ordered a body kit and a carbon fiber hood for my car and they said that part of the body kit was on back order. I said well cancel my order and they told me that they were going to process my refund the following Monday cause they process all their refunds or whatever on Mondays. They told me that it takes 3-5 days to process my refund. I checked on Wedsnesday and nothing is back on my credit card.

The following Friday, I saw that my refund has not gone back onto my credit card. I call Bodykits.com and asked them why it has not one through. The lady named Claudia gave me a transaction ID to check my credit card company again and give them the transaction ID. I called my credit card company and they said the trasaction ID is for the order not the refund. Well at that point I got pissed off because she had gave me a number I could not use. So I tried calling them back the same day but they were already closed. So I wrote the owner a demand letter for my refund and if they did not return it in a certain amount of time I will demand for the full amount of the refund cause they charged me a 25% restocking fee for the bodykit or whatnot. Thats total BS.

Anyways, the owner writes me back and sends me an email on how I should be when you want something. At that point I totally wanted to rip someone's head off and throw it at some bowling pins.

So I wrote the San Diego BBB and reported their business practices to them. As we speak they are being investigated. But I tried calling bodykits.com's processing company and they told me that they have went through all their paperwork and computer systems there and I was told that there was nothing as a refund or credit but my order that has been processed.

I wrote the owner back and he had said the refund has been processed on 12/27/06 and told me he would get me a transaction ID. He also said he has proof of it being processed. The owner also said that the refund was supposedly not accepted. Usually most companies would email the customer and notify them. I did not recieve anything.

I think he's lying out his butt because I havent seen anything yet and its 1/2/06. The amount for the transaction was $1,000.80. Now thats quite a bit of money for someone just holding it in their pocket. Once BBB makes them issue me a refund, they will have to pay me the full amount cause this is crap! Never do business with bodykits.com because they are ripoff artists.

Went out of business? or Fly-by-night scam?

AUTHOR: Ron - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 03, 2007

Well after trying to contact the merchant all day and filing more complaints with higher authorities and talking to my credit card company, I tried contacting today when the owner said that he was going to be in the office and I tried calling the merchant and the lines have been disconnected. All of them! So later on, I check on the website and the website is no longer there and says that the server is down or something. So I sent him a threatening email demanding my money back by telling him that I will inflict bodily harm if he is a scammer. I told him that he can call the police on this but I will just turn around and tell them that he has my stolen money and that he's a commercial scammer. This is getting ridiculous.
