A young man came to my door on July 10, 2008 selling subscriptions to magazines. He was doing it to win a trip somewhere. He was polite, clean-cut and very pleasant. I ordered Saveur magazine and gave him a check for $50.00 dollars. I was supposed to receive the magazine within 3 months, so far I have received nothing. When I remembered, I tried to call but there was no phone number. I found this site on the internet as I was looking for a way to reach them. They have obviously been ripping people off.

DON'T OPEN YOUR DOOR TO PEOPLE YOU DON'T KNOW WHO DON'T HAVE OFFICIAL, VERIFIABLE CREDENTIALS

In the first place, you should NEVER open your door to someone you don't know in these days and times. I am sure it never occurred to you but you could have opened your door to a home invasion, a serial killer, robbers, who knows what...
But since you did, you got ripped off.
The magazine subscription racket uses clean-cut kids ( Serial Killer Ted Bundy was a clean-cut kid too) who give various lies "working their way through seminary, college,"
"making money to pay grandma's, mother's, father's medical bills,: etc. so you will feel sorry for them and take a subscription which never comes because they never turn it in because IT IS A SCAM!
IN SPITE OF THE PROMISES AND THE IMAGE, THEY TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN. YOU WILL NOT GET THE MAGAZINES OR SEE THE SCAM ARTIST AGAIN.IF THEY CAN GET SUBSCRIPTIONS ON THE ENTIRE BLOCK, THEY MAKE A RATHER NICE INCOME SUPPLEMENT.
I don't know how you are going to get your money back unless he left a receipt or something that indicated who he was working for --if he was.
just consider that this is tuition in the RIP OFF university of real life and don't let anybody else you don't know in your house unless they have an official identification and then I would look up the company in the phone book and call that number to make sure they really work there.
Your world just became a meaner place.
