Today around 3 p.m. I received a call from a fast talking woman asking me if i had received my magazines after informing me that i had already sign up and she was just calling to "double check" the information i had already supplied them with. I receive SSI because i Have various mental issues that preclude me from the workforce which i am going to collage to try to change my ability to get hired or start my own business. I realized after the call when i check my account to a prepaid card i own...... That i had just been Owned. I was told that i would be charged 19.16 for magazines that i had signed up for. this was after i had told this woman that i didn't order from them. I was then told that the company's records went back five years. When i get nervous or think I'm in some trouble i become easily manipulated. well needless to say they got my info that they needed to charge me and got off the phone. I felt something was fishy so i checked my transaction history and guess what i found!!!! A pending charge for four times what i had been talked in to.....

But wait theres more! I immediately called the company that managed the account in question. They explained that until the charge was actually deducted instead of pending the could take no action but once the charge was finalized we could begin the arbitration process.I thank them and hung up. I then check the number for MSA on google and wound up here. I called MSA and after being mislead by there purposely flawed automated menu and being on hold i finally spoke to another human. I was then informed after giving the information needed to find me in the system and telling the woman i wanted to immediately cancel everything that I couldn't Because my information had no link account because i had yet to pay anything and that nothing could be done till tommorow after their system updated. I calmly told the woman that i felt that what had been done was nothing short of piracy and that i would indeed be calling back the next day and if i was stalled in any way or stopped from canceling the contract i would befollowing the advice of a fellow complaintant and contacting the attorney general of florida. The UCC states that i have three days to cancel any contract. I have two sisters and a girlfriend who have worked at call centers. I know how things work. Lets hope somebody has a brain and doesn't make this worse than it has to be.... I hate court rooms.
