I have been with the Book Patch for years.  I had 3 books published there, several in progress and a few new ones.  I went to publish a new book and found you could not use the editor anymore and could only now submit a PDF.  I contacted them and I was told that they had decided to change.  No notice was ever given to me.  Dave told me if I let him know which books I wanted, he could copy the books and send them to me.  So I told him which ones I wanted. 

Never heard from Dave again.  5 or 6 days later he writes to tell me he could not do what he promised and I had to hire a private company to assemble the books properly.  Why must I hire someone when THE BOOK PATCH PROMISED to deliver.  I told him he needs to look out for his clients.

He writes me a very nasty and sarcastic letter that he does not appreciate my tone and if I don't like it I can go somewhere else.  Pretty trite.  I have dealt with their customer service for years and the people were always wonderful and helpful, but this new guy had a problem.

 

So I wrote back and I was mad at how I was treated and used two cus words and told him he needed to respect who I was.  Did not hear from him.  The next day the owner, Victor writes to me and tells me my account is diabled and they would send me my checks.

 

No apology, no let me tell you the rulesl, no I am sorry for the way you were treated. Just you are trash.  I wrote a long letter to him explaining how this is ridiculous and you know, no letter came and no funds came too.  I wrote to the BBB and all I got from VICTOR was a sarcastic letter laughing at me.

 

At Book Patch you have a separate account for each book and each book is paid separate.  A few years ago they over paid me on one book and the customer service told me that when I sold more books, the funds would come out of the overage.  I offered to pay the extra back and THE BOOK PATCH said no.  So when I wanted my final funds, they refused to pay me for the other two books saying I owed this deficit.  No I do not.  It was Victor's choice to end my account and it was his problem.  So I want my money.

 

Also they caused me humiliation and grief causing me to have to delete years of work and they refused to give me my manuscripts.  I told them I wanted my work and they refused to give them to me.  They did not value me at all and they allowed a worker to abuse me with no response.

 

I want to be paid properly for what is owed me.  So if you are looking for a book publisher, DO NOT USE BOOK PATCH.  THEY ARE CROOKS.

Book Patch Pathetic Cyberbullier

Bravo!!  Even the great and mighty Victor has gone so low even the devils in hellfire are laughing.  I have had a cyberbullier for 7 years now who has gone out of their way to destroy my reputation with lies and even created blogs to report such things.

No, I was not banned from Curezone and still post there.  No I was not banned from Twitter, I have 26 accounts there.  No I was not fired from this company or the other.  In fact Sahabee Sweets is behind my attacks.  She is in competition with me and sought to harm me.

I see you have not posted my rebuttals to these claims.  They go into so many ridiculous scenarios like the cost of my products are 3 times more than Hemani.  No, I don't carry their products but when I did I was at the same retail price.

It hurts me that you would stoop this low. The head of Suite101 sucks got fired because of her cyberbullying me. Then when Amazing Herbs wanted me to work for them they sent in a paid cyberbullier to do me harm.  This only proves how unethical and lousy you have become.

But all of this has nothing to do with the fact that you owe me money and you refuse to remove my 3 books from your bookstore.

I was told I had to do this.  This has nothing to do with you LYING about the email you posted.  You posted only my replies and made it look I had one long rant when the truth is I was responding to several sarcastic emails.

This has nothing to do with you refusing to pay me my small amount owed.  While you think you can do me harm, you Victor will lose potential clients who will read this and believe me that I was a victim of lies and being cheated.

I gave you due warning before posting here and you refused to pay a disabled old woman who cannot walk.  You Victor has done more than I can imagine.

When you can explain why you lied about the email you posted, why you refused to pay me and why you laughed at me and posted lies here then we can finish. Until that day Victor I will continue and each post shows up on Google to haunt you.  You cannot win Victor.  As you can see I have nothing to lose.  I was number 1 in my field and people went after me.  Like many others who have been destroyed by cyberbulliers, I am one and cyberbullying is against the law and especially by a company and so we know your address and name, be careful who you attack.

It is funny about the number of people I have helped with cancer.  You know why I was cyberbullied? Because Jennifer's grandmother died of cancer and I was saved.  The thought that anyone could be cured in such a short time set her off and the fact I am Muslim.

Attacking my problems is not a way of alieviating what you and your company has done.  You stole my rights.  You abused the system and You sir are no gentleman.  How many customers are going to feel the same?  1, 3 or 25?  You Victor did this.  I was a long time client and never ever ever had a problem with you. One man named Dale harmed me and yet you have him there.

It is a sad day for me that you cause me harm.  It never goes away Victor.  But I have stayed.

Abusive customer has a reputation for bad behavior

In doing research, I found that this customer has numerous complaints against her for abusive behavior.  Including a complete website with numerous of her false allegations.

Although I would not completely put my faith in everything these websites post it does seem like many people have experiences a lot of pain and grief, all stemming from her abusive behavior.  She has also been suspended from teitter for abusive behavior.

Never Trust Book Patch for Your Publishing Needs

I have to pause from reading their rebuttal.  First they have edited out what their customer servcie said to me telling me if I did not like what he said I could take my business elsewhere.  Funny how they try to make this sound one way.  Figures!!  Victor wrote this reply of course.

I have been with this company for years and I deserve some respect not some sarcastic remarks.  Dale promised to copy my books in full and send them to me.  He did not do what he promised.  He wanted me to buy another program. Ok if it is inexpensive, let the company buy the program and do what they promised.

I was told by Dale that I was notified 1 year prior.  Again wrong.  Book Patch never notified me.

I requested all my books in progress and VICTOR and BOOK PATCH Lie.  They refuse to pay me the money they owe and now I find out they are ILLEGALLY POSTING MY BOOKS FOR SALE IN THEIR BOOK STORE.  So if my account is closed, who is reaping the funds.

Dale rudely told me that I can delete them myself.  NO, I cannot delete them as Book Patch deleted my account.  I have now sent them 4 emails demanding my books be removed.

Abuse goes both ways.  Dale was abusive to me but he still works there.  Victor, the owner never once apologized for his behavior and in a snap of a finger closed my account.  I was not given time to remove any books in progress which took months to comply.  All of this because I said two words.

Never ever trust this company for your publishing needs.  I gave Victor plenty of notice to refund my money or I would post here.  He refused.  I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Victor refused to reply.  He and his company will lose more clients carrying on this farce than he would of by paying me the small amount I am owed. 

Sadly I had to force his hand.  If he wants to lie, it will all come back on him.  I will be filing a new compliant on the book problem.

Abusive customer behavior caused us to close account

The Bookpatch was forced to close down our online editing system last year because the technology it used, Silverlight was no longer supported and it was causing customers a lot of issues.  At that time we sent emails to all our users to please remove all their content from our system and gave them 90 days to do so.  

This customer contacted us nearly a year later and we were able to retrieve her files but when we told her she would have to use a editing software program that was cloud or computer based she sent us a nasty email(see below).  This caused us to have to close her account.

 

From our service rep to her:

Hi Barbara a Trejo,
 
I can copy the rtf files from any of your projects and email them to you. Let me know which ones. You will need to find some sort of text editor such as Word, Pages, etc to work with them.

Hi Barbara,
 
I was able to retrieve the individual rtf files (chapters) for you books. I was not able to merge them together. There is inexpensive software you can buy that can merge them together. Just "Google" "Combine multiple RTF files into one". 
 
I have attached your files to this email. You will easily figure out my naming shorthand.

You change your program and you want me to purchase a program? You guys need to get this act together and quit inconveniencing us writers.  It took you 5 days to respond to my email and quite frankly was not sure what to expect.
I resent your lousy tone Dale. I have been here a lot longer than you and before you f***ing send me an a**tone email consider that.  NO you did not give me a year's warning or I would have known and did not need to write to you.  There ;use to be some really nice people in customer service and I am sorry THEY did not answer me.  YOU plainly stated I needed to purchase a program.  I am paying you to handle my books properly and I expect customer service.  If you can't handle my requests than find a new job.

 

Our company has a strict harassment policy in place, this kind of attitude and language is not acceptable in any environment.  We feel like we went out of our way to help our customer retrieve her files and then to have her behave so abusively was out of line.   

Luckily for us, most of our customers are kind and appreciate our service and I am sure if you google our reviews you can find that.  I think it is sad that some people have to resort to verbal abuse to try to manipulate a business or customer service representative to try to get their way.  SHAME on you!
