*REBUTTAL Owner of company: Unfortunate situation
Bookmasters sold 700 of my books and after months of asking when will i get paid, they sent me a bill of 4000.00. I ask for the rest of my books back, they sent them to me after charging 500.00, when i got them, they were all damaged. So they sold 700 of my books which they did not print and destoryed all my books and i owe them money. Stay away from them at all costs, they have 16 complaints from the local BBB in the last 3 years. And several lawsuits that are being brought agianst them.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
Unfortunate situation
AUTHOR: Matt Wurster - (United States of America)

As the owner of Bookmasters, I have been trying to work with Mr. Lapedis over the last several months. Although his book sold hundreds of copies, thousands of copies were returned from the resellers. Mr. Lapedis received credit for the sales, but when the books were returned he refused to refund Bookmasters.
This is an unfortunate situation, but can serve as a cautionary tale to other publishers that creating consumer demand ultimately dictates the success of a book. If the books don't sell through to the consumer, they will be returned and the booksellers demand a full refund, which is taken directly from Bookmasters.
Bookmasters works directly with over 2500 publishers at any given time and although we strive to make all customers happy, sometimes that is simply not possible. I encourage readers of this post to check out our BBB page, where Bookmasters has an A+ rating. Thank you.
