,Boost Mobilie Customer Service Transfers Calls to a Fast Busy & They Will Not Unlock Phone (its out of contract, because there is no contract, Nationwide
First off, when we first got the account set up, when we ported over our number from another providor, our Boost account was set up with someone else's name and address in it, which had to be fixed. We had a very difficult time getting through to customer service to fix this. Then we cancelled our auto-payment and went to a pre-paid card and each time we kept trying to call to do this, we would push a button to get to PAY A BILL ( the only way we could get through to a person in the loop) they would say that they couldn't help us and that they needed to transfer us to customer service at which point we would get a fast busy signal and a hang up. This happened 3 or 4 times in a row, so it appears to be no coincidence or accident.
Also, we tried to port this iphone over to an AT&T Wireless account, because we decided to go to pre-paid, because no one at Boost could tell us how many minutes you would get for a $20 card when we called, and because we have had such a hard time with customer service, but despite the new Federal ruling related people being able to legally have their phones unlocked to Boost, they will not allow this to happen because they would not unlock our phone, even though there is no contract and we paid $300 in full for a refurbished iphone from them. We could not find a nearby Boost store on the internet, so we went into their parent company, Sprint, who told us that we could not even port our iphone over to Sprint and tnat they had no authority to unlock it and offered to sell us the same phone for $80 with a Sprint network card in it.
In our frustration, we even called Apple Customer Care and asked if they could unlock our phone, which they said they could not. However they did try and call Boost for us and gave up after putting us on hold for 15 minutes at a time not being able to get through to a person themselves. Finally, they called the parent company Sprint and Sprint customer service was easier to reach, so we were given another number that we hadn't tried, in order to reach Boost. We were sent through another loop until we got a fast busy.
This is the worst service out there! Sure it is cheap. But it is also very frustrating.
