Hi everyone, I am having MAJOR problems with Bounce energy and Oncor. It started in November of this year. I received a call from a Bounce rep. stating that they made errors on my electric bills (two months worth) and that they would be sending me brand new "updated" bills? I asked what went wrong and I was told by the rep. that for some unknown reason, they could not get a meter reading for those months. I asked, why not? The rep. said, because they probably didn't have time to go out and check my meter during that time. I told the rep. that any amount that came, I paid it, whether small or large. I did not have control or access over the meter or over the fact that did not bother to even notice that my meter was not working and that they were guesstimating my bills according to what they felt like it at the time. I told this rep. that that explanation was not acceptable and that I would challenge any new bills that they send. She also told me that either way they get their money!

Well...I did receive up to date over 15 new bills, all different amounts, different dates, and different readings and it hasn't stopped yet. I ended up going outside to check my meter during the time right after I had spoken to the rep. at Bounce and found out that it was not reading at all, it was at all zero's! So, I notified Bounce and Oncor that my meter is broke and asked how they came up with guessing my bills? Neither had any answers and both companies have been arguing back and forth as to whom is responsible for all these frivolous bills! This has been VERY stressful, since I don't know when they will turn off my electric service because of this. One thing I did do was to take pics of my old meter with the zero's in it and pics of my new meter they put in as replacement. I also have copies of ALL the ills they have sent me and still are.

I wrote a letter to Bounce's CEO and he never responded back. More and more adjustments are being made to my account each day, with each month having around 10 different bills! This is like something out of the twilight zone! I have also contacted the Texas PUC to no avail. I believe they work with these unscrupulous companies since they only take the electric company's word and not the customer. If anyone has any other ideas, I would love to hear them! I am canceling my service with Bounce even if my contract is not up until June. I cannot uphold their adhesion contract when they are not only breaching it, but causing unconscionable stress and financial heartache over this mess. If anyone knows if I can sue them, please let me know. I was hoping that this could be taken care of in an honorable fashion, but these two companies are relentless and greedy. Thanks.
