I have to say , I have been goingto this BP for years now. Today I went in and I accidently had two cards with the magnetic strip touching. So it swiped the card. These people can't really understand you because they don't speak english well. (Not that its a problem , just if you own a store you should really have someone who speaks english here) So I swipe my bp card, tells me to see cashier. I go inside to see the cashier and tell him there is a problem. The entire time hes stuffing his face so not only can't I not understand him I can't understand his accent. Probably because of the food in his mouth at the time. So anyway I go in and hand him my debit card and said I need to fill up. He says no we need your BP card. I explained that it must have been demagnitized by being put in wrong with another card in my wallet. He continues to tell me that I must pay cash. Hello its a debit card and I am willing to put the amount down ..just swipe the card or even better let me go spend another 2.50 from your atm to get some gas in my car. He continues to be a jerk and says NO NO NO ...I asked him what the problem is , he said too many people pull this..HELLO I am willing to TAKE out money from your ATM here , (as I said pointing to it) , so I can fill up my car. I told him that this is not a problem I can pay. NUMBER one I hate that people steal because it makes it harder on us who DO NOT STEAL. Number 2 I don't like the fact that this guy sat there and acted like he didnt understand what I was talking about.

This is the second and final straw for this BP. Last week I went in to get a gas exchange . The female there was so busy flirting with some guy that it took her 5 minutes to actually realize I was standing there waiting to get waited on. I went to buy a  gas tank for my grill. You know propane??? She had no clue what I was talking about then over charged me for a refill. I said something to her and gave her the key back and all she could say was NO NO NO. This place also has the highest gas price on the other BP's..I go there because its close to the house. No more and next time lets pay attention to the consumer..WE keep you in business...

I will end it the way that it was ended today at BP ....K THANKS COME AGAIN...

There are reasons for not allowing cards to be used inside...

The reason they choose not to take cards inside is for two main reasons that I learned when I worked there. 

One, it freezes the cash register inside.  I hated people who used their cards inside for gas since it would freeze the machine for a good 15 minutes while I messed with it to get it working properly.  You can imagine the line of people that built up during that time looking at me like I'm the bad guy.

And two, because Bp has been ripped off in many ways.  We'd had the usual stolen debit cards and credit cards, but thieves have become much more creative!  My major problem with my old job came when we started getting people who used their cards, and would immediately cancel them (like report them stolen) after they made a large purchase.  Guess who is responsible for the lost money?  The employees!

I was let go when a man bought $150 worth of gift cards and canceled his card.  I refused to re-pay the money since I have no control over what people do after they leave the store.
