Brand 1 Autos Sold me a car with a clean car fax, said it had NEVER been wrecked...it has been wrecked...vehicle number and VIN on motor don't match! I want my money back! Tucker, Georgia

I bought my daughter a 2007 Scion TC last  month with 33,000 miles on it from Brand 1 Autos.  They said it had not been wrecked.  I did my homework and pulled a Car Fax report that came up clean and clear, so we bought the car.  I liked the fact that it still had factory warranty remaining on it.  Anna confirmed it would still have the factory warranty. 

Within the first week, the check engine light came on, so I took it to our local dealership.  They said it needed a new thermostat, and it would be covered under warranty.  Later, the dealership called back to say that when they went to put the new thermostat in, there was no "old" thermostat in the car.  They explained that this meant that the car had been wrecked at some point,and it would not be covered under warranty.   Upon further examination, the dealership discovered that the VIN on the motor was different from the vehicle VIN.  The motor  has a big yellow number on it...indicating it is a salvaged motor.  There are several other salvaged parts and evidence of a paint job and body damage (The hood is not the original hood).

 Now I have no warranty of any kind on this car.  I had to pay $245 out of pocket for a new thermostat.  I have called Brand 1 Auto twice, but have not gotten anyone to discuss this situation with me.  I have explained that I want to return the car and get my money back.  I have contacted lawyers, and they are assessing the information I've provided. 

Don't buy cars from these people!!!
