2017-01-12:

I have consistently received an auto-dialer telephone-call regarding my "Google business listing" to my cellular telephone on nearly every USA business day since October 18th, 2016.  That's around 60 calls throughout the months which have cost me air-time, filled up my voice-mail, woken me up during a nice nap, etc.  I have documented these calls with Canada's CRTC and other agencies including the USA's FCC, as I'm aware of restrictions for telemarketing to a cellular telephone.

I finally decided to answer, yesterday.  I pressed 1.  I was connected to BrandRep, Inc.  I spoke to a woman and endured their entire sales strategy.  I asked for a telephone-number and extension to call back.  I called back 1-800-405-7119 and reconnected with the same agent at her extension.  When I asked for a demonstration before paying them more than $1,000, the agent directed me to the https://www.brandrep.com/demos web-page.  I terminated the discussion.  I recorded the entire conversation and I am happy to share it.

I called 1-800-405-7119 again and spoke with a man who claimed to be a supervisor, an account manager and a Google Certified Partner.  I asked about the auto-dialer service and he explained that the auto-dialer service was performed by Google and that on different days, the Google auto-dialer service will connect you with a randomly-chosen Google Certified Partner.  When I pressured him to explain how he came to believe this, he insisted that he knew because of his status as a Google Certified Partner.  I asked a few times, but he continued to lie.  I then asked if I could direct him to a Google web-page to show him that he was wrong and he said no, then terminated the discussion shortly thereafter.  I recorded the entire conversation and I am happy to share it.

He was blatantly lying because this web-page clearly indicates the Google doesn't auto-dial anyone: https://support.google.com/faqs/answer/2952493?hl=en#telemarketing

It's also common sense that a successful company like Google wants to be the recipient of good will.  It's another piece of common sense that telemarketers risk ill will because their practice is intrusive, disturbing, predatory, etc.

According to the https://www.google.com/partners/#a_profile;idtf=8339763186;qury=brandrep web-page, I was lucky to speak with a Google Certified Partner, as BrandRep, Inc. only has 2 certified users as of the time this report has been composed.  This is lucky due to the number of voices I heard in the background at the call-centre I was connected to.  (Listen for yourself.)

The DNS SOA record for brandrep.com indicates chad@seocore.com as the DNS administrator's e-mail address.  The "Chad Ruskey" YouTube profile has a video at the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7Im1D4emzI URI titled, "BrandRep CallSite Lead Generation Solution" which appears to discuss a sophisticated telephone-call tracking system.

Summary: I wanted to know who was responsible for auto-dialing me around 60 times on an almost daily schedule for the last few months.  A BrandRep, Inc. agent lied to me to protect the answer as a secret and to direct the blame towards Google, who he was proud to be a Certified Partner for.
