Breuners Furniture ripoff Pleasant Hill California

On September 15, 2004, my Husband and I decided to purchase a bedroom suit. We made it clear that we did not want a floor model. When we went to the purchase counter, the finance clerk told us that she could not process our order because the store did not have the set we wanted nor could she order the set. However, when we told the clerk that had sold the set to us she was told by the manager of the store that he had five sets coming in which turned out to be a lie. The sales clerk told us that the finance clerk was good with numbers but did not know inventory. She escorted us back to the pay counter where she told the clerk to process the order because the manager said that he had five additional sets coming in like the one we ordered.

Long story, short! The bedroom set was not delivered on the delivery date of September 21, 2004. We returned to Breueners September 22, 2004 after three phone calls and upon being told to come and get our money. Ron's story was that none of the Dealers wanted to deal with Breueners because of the bankruptcy. While in the store we decided to accept the damaged set on the floor for a considerable discount, because we had given our bedroom set of thirty-seven years to our daughter. When we approached the counter this time we were told that the clerk did not know how to do a credit back electronic refund because we had paid with an electronic funds transfer check. We were told that we would receive a check within three business days.

We have not received any check as of today, October 12, 2004.
