We met with Brian Weinstock after seeing his impressive performance rating. He is good sales person, we were sold the idea that he is going do a lot more than anyone else would (we should have known better). We were hoping to build 2 car garage a new kitchen, family room, 2 bedroom and 2 bath and remodel parts of our existing home We signed a contract with Brian Weinstock of Home Installation Professionals ( Watertech, Inc.) in July 2008 with construction to begin November 2008. The price agreed was $225,000. After kitchen design completed Brian told us that our kitchen will cost about $10,000 more than what he has allocated. We also agreed (sold) to remodel our master bedroom for another $15,000 bringing the total project cost to $250,000.

Early November Brian start the demolition of the old area at which time he asked for 1/3 of the payment, We had agreed paying him 1/3 because he was suppose to pay for various materials including lumber to make our custom wood siding. We end up paying him about $80,000. Shortly a few days after the work began he called me saying that his line of credit has dried up so it is best for me to pay the subcontractors directly. I asked him about the $80,000 that I have paid him, he provided me with a copy of the vendors and subcontractors that he has pre-paid them. I continued paying all the ongoing work directly including the materials.

On December 28th 2008 an employee from the Village of the HP showed up in my door and requested for the work to be stopped for the reason of work permit not being paid. They also told me that in order to get the permit re-stated we have to pay the city with certified check. I called Brian asking him what is going on he replied that there were some issue his bank and he will take care of the permit later on the week? I contacted building permit official and I was told that MY BUILDER HAS GIVEN THEM CHECK MULTIPLE TIME AND THEY HAVE BOUNCED. When I contacted Brian again he told me he does not have the fund to pay the city. I paid the city and continued the work by paying the subcontractors directly. I contacted everyone on the list that were supposed to be paid by my $80,000 concluding that he has only spent couple thousand on my house.

Since the demolition and start of the construction I have been paying for materials and labor for every work goes on my house. Brian has been getting money from home owners like me not paying any of his subcontractors blaming it all on the economy and I am not patient?
He has abandoned my project, claiming to be going bankrupt and I can do nothing to get my money back or finish my house!

We (my wife and my two kids) are left in a half destroyed house. The subcontractors have agreed to finish the project at cost (to help my family).

Brian and his company Home Installation Professionals have earned our highest recommendation.

AUTHOR: SS - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, April 10, 2010

We have read the two reports on your site. We did not have a similar experince at all, in fact just the opposite and we know Brian or his crews are not capable of the things talked about on your sight. We had a great experince and wish to tell your readers about it.

This is a letter of recommendation for Brian Weinstock & Home Installation Professionals. We are in the finishing phase of our project, a design & build project which doubled the size of our 1350 sq ft, 2-3 br 1.5 ba 50+ yr old brick cape cod style home, and turned it into a 4-5 br, 3.5 bath with home office with a 2 story 20ft X 34ft addition. We move back in next week, on schedule.

We started our search for the builder to do our project 4 years ago - we interviewed just about every Lake County/North Shore builder, including Brians company. We took our time because of all the horror stories we had heard about addition nightmares. We called a first round of references. We then asked Brian and 3 other companies to bid on our project and Brian came in significantly lower (approximately 30%-50%). We were on a limited budget and most of the builders we interviewed were out of our range.

We checked references for Brian, and visited a job site of his; a larger project than ours in Libertyville, during different phases of the job. All checked & looked good. We felt comfortable and signed with Brian.

We started the project in March, with Brian keeping close communication. Brian designed it all from scratch, using our wish list. Brian helped us with material & option selection, spending large amounts of time and being very helpful & patient. The whole process has been much easier than expected, primarily due to the close control Brian maintains on the jobsite, his desire for total customer satisfaction and his diligence in maintaining good communications. We have been very impressed with the quality, speed & coordination of the job.

It is evident that Brian takes great pride in his work. It shows.

Brians crew is unbelievable. Very hard working, very professional and they all take pride in their work there were very few days when there wasnt some work going on, including weekends. These people are really good at what they do. We are very impressed.

Brian is able to give upgrades on many items. We never would have been able to afford putting in @ 1000 sq ft of 4 plank oak floors, the huge whirlpool and the

multi-jet steam shower in our master bath with the other builders and still get the addition space we wanted within our budget. With Brian, we got all that plus a lot more.

Overall, we are very happy we found Brian. We feel we got the best value by using Home Install Pros to do our addition, and we cant recommend Brian and his crew enough!!! In fact, our neighbors across the street are now using him to add a master suite to their house. I wouldnt be surprised if he winds up remodeling more homes in this neighborhood.

Brian and his company Home Installation Professionals have earned our highest recommendation.

Similar poor experience with Weinstock and Home Installation Professionals in 2008 -2009

AUTHOR: Cyberjd - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, February 14, 2010

In 2008-2009, we had a poor experience similar to Hasko's.

In July 2008, we contracted with Brian Weinstock ("BW") of "Home Installation Professionals a division of Watertech, Inc." for $335k fixed price for addition and remodeling work.  We agreed details about features, specifications, and time to complete (4.5 months).

In the end we spent $512k ($177k overage), the work did not meet the specifications agree in several material respects, and the project took nearly 8.5 months to complete.

There is much more to the story that the space will permit here -  a few examples:

1.   One of BW's most ardent references during his sales efforts I later found out was the girlfriend he lived with.   Neither he or she disclosed this at the time.

2.  After the first 2 weeks, BW rarely visited the work site except to pick up payments.  He claimed to be keeping up through his workers and subcontractors on site, but there we some very significant mistakes.  We had counted on BW to supervise the work - you cannot do that remotely.

3.   We had paid BW $162k directly.  At BW's request, we began paying subcontractors. When it became obvious that the work could not be completed within the contract price, BW claimed "the economy" was the problem - which makes no sense given that we were providing the cashflow.

5.   When asked to account for the $162k paid to him, BW could not account for over $70k and claimed the rest was profit he was rightfully due (over 3 months) even though he could not deliver the project at the price agreed.  He also required us to pay him an additional "draw" of $2,000 per week to continue on the project - which we refused.

5.   In early 2009 Angies List penalized BW for self-reporting (filing reviews through aliases).

6.   In June 2009 BW put the company we contracted with in bankruptcy and started a new company "Home Installation Professionals, Inc."

7.   We have been contacted by several customers with similar claims about BW.

8.   When I filed a factual, balanced though unfavorable report on this site and Angie's List, Brian (using an alias "John Forest" (((Redacted))) responded by posting a false report on me personally.  I have demanded a retraction.

You should be very careful in deciding to hire Brian Weinstock or Home Installation Professionals.

   Email for more info (((Redacted)))

Brian Weinstock and Home Installation Professionals. Brian and his great team did an AWESOME Job on our 325K project in 2008.

AUTHOR: John Anderson - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 30, 2009

Brian and his team are honest Pros and would recommend them to anyone.

We read the report on this web site on Brian and Home Installation Professionals and we don't believe it. Our experience was that we had an incredibly positive experience with Brian and his team at all times.

We added a master bedroom suite and living room to our home. From day one Brian helped us with the design, he had many great ideas we ended up going with. He supervised his team daily and the job site was always left clean and organized. The price he gave us was fair and he stuck to his bid. Their work was excellent in every respect. We would recommend Brian and his team to anyone.

#13 REBUTTAL Owner of company

His statements are all fraudulent lies. This man is impossible in all ways and wants everything for nothing. In fact he has ripped us off & owes us $

AUTHOR: Owner - Home Install Pros - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, March 21, 2009

As a small business when you do the volume we do of around 80 small and large projects in 2008 and close to 2 million in gross sales and many thousands of completly satisified customers since 1973 you are bound to eventually, especially in this economy, come across a few impossible people and this is one of the most impossible people we have ever met.

Again his statements are all fraudulent lies. This man is impossible in all ways and wants everything for nothing. In fact he has ripped us off and my attorneys have determined he owes us a lot of money among many other things. Again I challenge this person (I wont use HIS name or address out of respect for him and his family) to show proof of what he is saying. Again I have on the other hand have receipts from all my trades and suppliers that were paid a good portion of this initial funding that he says I took"- I earned it. He asked the wrong framing materials supplier rep. The right one would have confirmed they had been paid. All businesses are entitled to operating expenses, management fees and yes profit. He just doesn't like the fact that I could have earned a little money after my expenses on his project and that I would not install a free 20 thousand dollar HVAC system among many other things he's demanding, he's also now demanding I install a free 30 thousand dollar master bedroom expansion for him as well. Again my attorneys, accountants and I have determined that he owes us much more money on this project.

I do not ask or use" friends and relatives to post anything on the internet, in fact they are all real customers who's projects we have completed, and after our projects most have become friends and I'm proud of that.

When I asked him for payments per our contract terms he said no, at that point he was already demanding I install a free 20 thousand dollar HVAC system and a 30 thousand dollar bedroom expansion that was not in our contract, I said no to that and at that point he refused to pay me per our contract and because he would not pay me what he owed me to pay the sub contractors and my self I asked him to pay them directly to protect him, his family and the subs and move the project along. And because he did not pay me per our agreement, two checks did not clear for ( the only statement in his statement that was true- but he didn't mention it was because he didn't pay me) the permit, however all engineering, city planning, variance fees, architectural, subcontractor and materials fees were all paid by me, plus the there was reimbursement for the many many hours I spent coordinating the village variance application, zoning meetings, data gathering, architectural coordinating, coordinating a professional writer to compose a presentation hardship letter to the village board on their behalf, that passed unanimously the first time at the first Village zoning bard, who's board members all said that our variance presentation package was extremely well planned put together and contributed to their unanimous approval. Without my help, encouragement, and advocacy and the many many hours I spent on their behalf their addition would have never been approved and they would not now be enjoying a beautifully expanded home, soon to be completed by my trades.

Again out of the many many years this web site has been up, this is the fist negative posting, however untrue it is, we have ever had anywhere having been in business since 1973. Out of the thousands of happy satisfied customers since 1973, only in the last 18 months out of more than 80 extremely happy, completely satisfied customers in all ways, there has been a few challenging impossible customers and this is one of them. The slowing economy and its related financial challenges have created this environment.

One way we are dealing with the many unique challenges this economy presents is now (as of March 1st 2009) in all new work is we are working exclusively through title companies and their professional construction coordinators. All funding is done from the homeowner or banks goes through the bank and title companies only. Payments are made from the homeowner or bank to the title company to the GC, vendors and subs in stages with lien releases and accompanying paper work including a detailed contractors statement listing all GC. Subs, vendors individual contract price and incremental payments that everyone approves, this protects everyone especially the homeowners. In this persons case I recommended this approach to him and he refused to do it for his own reasons, maybe because it would have clearly shown that the free 20 thousand dollar HVAC system and the 30 thousand dollar master bedroom expansion among many other things were not on the contactor statement or contract, but I do know had we originally use this approach there would never have been a question about it and this situation would have not existed. Either way using a title company professional construction coordinator (a loan is not required to use a title company but it's the same procedure used in a bank construction loan) is the only way we will do business now and will completly eliminate any disputes like this in the future .

Unfortunately, the accusations made by this client are false, misleading and inaccurate and while I could counter with a long and detailed response, it would be exhaustive. Instead I invite you to recognize these as negative, false and misrepresented accounts by a disgruntled and impossible to please individual who was trying to take advantage, but even more importantly, to note that these are the exceptions to all other customer testimonies. The mission of our company has always been is to achieve total customer satisfaction on the entire scope of every project, a mission that earned our company, Home Installation Professionals, the 2008 Angie's List SUPER SERVICE AWARD by having 14 straight A, perfect customer ratings in all categories. With this in mind, I strongly encourage all who read this to weigh the negative remarks of these inaccurate and misrepresented accounts against all the other reports from others that detail consistently positive experiences. The same high level of customer satisfaction reports can be found through other services and so, I invite you to examine our company through Angie's List and other sources, including our website (http://www.homeinstallations.com) where years and years of positive customer reviews and work samples are available, as is direct contact with our references upon request.

This historically bad economy especially for the building industry has only recently created these extremely difficult environments and the negative responses and the circumstances in which they occurred. Out of the hundreds of 100 percent satisfied clients over just the last two years we have had problems only with a few customers and most of those customer issues occurred in the last 6 months during the economic free fall we have all been experiencing. We have never or would never abandon this client or any of our clients, in fact with this client as of today they are using all our trades, employees, vendors. Materials and sub contractors and still are using all of them. In fact our roofers are roofing his house today. Our HVAC, plumbing and electrical pros will be finishing his home as well as will our drywall crews and finish pros. This client has been ordering all parts and using my subs and suppliers at my cost and under all my accounts.

The economy slowed things way, way down, I didn't have a unlimited pool of money that I could draw from for items outside the scope of our agreement and he didn't like that, in fact this client among many other things demanded I install a $20,000 HVAC system for free that was not in our contract or plans, I refused to do that and he became extremely angry, aggressive and attacking me anyway he could. All money paid to us has been used on his project, I have provided them with a full accounting of all monies over and over again including the engineering fees and pre payment to trades and we have all receipts supporting this. I would think if he were that dissatisfied with us he would not keep using our staff, vendors, subs, materials and our copy written plans which they are to the fullest extent. Under my supervision and coordination, the variance for addition on his property was approved unanimously by the village zoning board in which I guided them through the process every step of the way as well as going to all the zoning meetings as their advocate, assembled a package that was unanimously approved, under my direct supervision the property has been excavated, the concrete installed(allot more than our original plans that I did not charge him for- a seven thousand dollar value), the house framed up, the roof installed, the windows installed, all the trades and vendors have been lined up, and through me agreed to provide their services to these clients at my cost and my trades continue to service this client professionally.

I have over and over again tried to reason with and accommodate this client in every way I can but he continues his unfair, vitriolic, unreasonable and uncontracted for demands. We have not abandoned him by any means, by continuing to professionally finish their home we are doing all we can to please this person. I even recently offered to build a master bedroom bump out for them that was never in our original contract that they wanted for free myself, at no charge at all to them, a thirty thousand dollar value. How much more accommodating can I be.

This email I received today was his response- he writes,

'Here is my offer:

You have to pay me back my $80k immediately (nothing to negotiate there) followed by paying for Master Bedroom extension & front entrance'
(The master bedroom extension was never in our contract- a 30 thousand dollar value)

He continues....

'There is no other alternative.'

Then is a later email today he wrote

'You have not seen anything yet, that either pay my money back or expect me to dig deeper and expose you to everyone.'

'You will be lucky to get a job at McDonald once I am done with you'

(I dont know what he plans to expose and I eat at MCydees all the time)

That's not going to get him get him his free 20 thousand dollar HVAC system or master bedroom build out.

Nothing he has said in this report is true or has been twisted to not even closely resemble the truth and I challenge him to produce the evidence of anything he is saying. This person just wants a lot for nothing. We on the other hand can produce unlimited proof by pictures, receipts, vendor and sub contractor testimonies that what this person is saying is in fact untrue in all ways. This person is simply mad that I would not 'give' him thousands and thousands of dollars worth of upgrades that were never in our contract, such as the 20 thousand dollar HVAC system and a master bedroom expansion that again was never in our contract or plans. In fact they doubled the Kitchen cabinet allowance in the contract, but wanted me to include this upgrade to do the full job for the original contract price, so in other words he wanted me to pay the cabinet upgrade that was over 15 thousand dollars. This man wanted, in fact demanded everything for nothing. In fact my attorney and accountant have determined that this man owes US allot of money.

The internet allows anyone to say anything about anyone, regardless of the truth, and this man has taken full advantage of that, the good thing is we can respond as well on sites like this with the truth.

Again the mission of our company has always been and will continue to achieve total customer satisfaction on the entire scope of every project there are some, especially in this bad economy that are impossible in all ways; this is one of those customers. He wanted many things over and above our agreement that he did not want to pay for and I could not provide, even though I tried. My crews are finishing his home as you read this, the variances have been approved the permits have been issued, the excavation is done, the concrete has been installed, the framing has been done, the windows are in, the roof is on and the plumbing, electrical and HVAC are being done this week by my crews and all his materials and parts are coming from my vendors under my accounts including the kitchen. We have not abandoned him and my trades are there because I want them to be not because they are doing him a favor, they are also working on 5 other jobs I have going right now as well and all have been with me for many many years, and will continue to be to be with us for many more years.

Please visit our web site www.homeinstallations.com and ask our many hundreds of satisfied clients who work with us through large projects, much bigger than this one as a team about our work, our integrity and honesty.

Here are letters from just four of them below.

Description Of Work:
We transformed from a 1973 style home with 5 bedrooms and 3 baths to a modern home with 6 bedrooms and 4 baths, along with a larger garage, walk-in pantry, new mudroom, library, basement with walk-out, large master bedroom, beautiful expanded kitchen with granite counter tops and bar, a wet-bar, and of course the huge but cozy great room. Our home is beautiful, with hard wood floors, side-lights to our front doors (thank you for building these in your own shop), new siding and sidewalks, and a completely new profile with the new master over the garage. For most of our project our family of 6 was reduced down to a 2 bedroom, 1 bath home as the team upgraded something in almost every room of the house. With all the dust and personal disruption, I'd do it again to get results like these. I have appreciated your teams engineering, the sturdy construction, close beam-spacing, high quality wood, 6 outer studs, external plywood, and overall high-quality construction in areas that are normally under the hood. I really like all the little extras, like motion/panic lighting and electrical boxes in the eves for Christmas lighting tied to wall-timers in the garage. It should also be noted that your teams worked with me and around
me while I installed all the low voltage wiring into the addition. The guys on your team are absolutely top notch.
Member Comments:
Originally, we just needed to fix our foundation problem and we knew we wanted to expand our house to accommodate our family's needs. You and your architect took our ideas and offered suggestions. The results are perfect. The flow of our home is very conducive to our needs and the work is beautiful. We appreciated your TEAM of professionals. Everyone who entered our door was cognizant that they were in our home. I know having our family of four children around everyday while the men were working was a challenge. But each trade was respectful of our presence and our property. They always cleaned up at the end of the day and kept the work environment safe. In addition, your staff arrived promptly and worked efficiently. In addition, each trade was very talented in their respective specialty. Each offered real time on-sight solutions when necessary. They were friendly and trustworthy. Each trade seemed to know the other and they all have a good working relationship with each other. Selecting a contractor is a very important decision. It's not only about the total cost of the job or the timing of the job. It's about choosing to be in a close relationship while making some big decisions. We feel grateful to our neighbor who recommended you to us. You are trustworthy, on time, knowledgeable, experienced, well known, and reputable. You are a good adviser and are always available. Most of all, we really felt like a team working with you and we truly feel you care about not only our home, but us as well. Since this addition, we have continued to call Brian for other improvements, though much smaller in scope, his professionalism and quality have been a constant. Without a doubt, Home Installation Professionals is an excellent contracting company.

Added a master bedroom & bath (including custom cabinets, granite surfaces, & custom tile work), expanded & remodeled the kitchen (including custom cabinets, granite surfaces, & custom tile work), expanded the family room (including custom bookshelves & entertainment center), rebuild the fireplace face with exquisite stone, remodeled the existing two bathrooms &
powder room, finished the basement & added a powder room, opened up a wall between two rooms & expanded the doorways between several other rooms (requiring moving HVAC & plumbing utilities to accommodate the new openings), replaced the stairway from the 1st to the 2nd floor, installed hardwood flooring throughout most of the house, added three skylights, installed 1 inch copper plumbing throughout the house (including a hot water recirculation pump to maintain hot water at all faucets), added & upgraded significant electrical circuitry throughout the house, replaced the furnace & AC system, & replaced the siding & insulation, windows, interior & exterior doors, and driveway.
Member Comments:
In a nutshell, we got a new house. Brian & his crew totally remodeled & expanded the interior & exterior of our 4 bedroom home while we lived in it. This required them to coordinate their work with us, always maintaining living space for us - a kitchen & a bedroom & bath - throughout the project. We found his crews to be very considerate of our situation. While the result is basically the plan we had asked for, Brian took our request & suggested many details and enhancements we had not considered & that added to the livability of the final result. We wanted to open up the house, an early 70's design that had many separated rooms & limited views of the outside. The final product was this & more. Though the work was completed over a year ago, not a day goes by that we don't take a minute to admire the finished project, thankful that we had a conscientious contractor handling the work from start to finish! We found Brian to be truly intent on giving us the results (if not more than) we had asked for. In the ratings below, note that the final cost came in higher than the original estimate because we chose to add features & to make upgrades to the design that we hadn't specified in the contract.

Member Comments: With Brian's design, the old rooms and new rooms blend so nicely. Brian handled the project exceptionally well! The work was on time, in budget, and the guys worked hard to minimize the inconvenience. The quality of the work is exceptional, the products they used are of excellent quality, Brian and his team are very professional (and they clean up after their work everyday!), and the communication from Brian was wonderful. Brian stayed within my budget, stayed on schedule, and he strove to make sure I was happy with the results, which, as a homeowner, was exactly what I wanted. I am so impressed and amazed by the work that Home Installation Professionals did on my house! Brian and his team transformed my house into a home that I just love coming home to and love showing to my friends and family! I cannot recommend Home Installation Professionals enough!

I couldn't believe how great an experience this remodeling project was. I have been through other remodeling projects in the past, so I was reluctant to start this process over again. From the very beginning, Brian was always available to answer any questions I had. He would continually
follow up to make sure that we were satisfied with the days progress and if I had any concerns. What I am most impressed with is the professional staff that has been with the company for years. They take pride in their work and it shows. Their knowledge in their particular field is obvious by looking at the small details that make the basement 'custom'.

Approximate Cost:
$290,000.00
Description Of Work:

Work Done:

Approximate Cost:
$290,000.00
Description Of Work:

Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $125,000.00 Description Of Work: My house was small, plain and average. I needed a major remodeling project done on my house and had heard a lot of horror stories about remodeling projects. I contacted Home Installation Professionals, who were highly recommended to me. I met with Brian, who was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and creative. I was positive Brian would do a great job. Brian and his team put a 2 story addition on my home, doubling the size of my house: new master bedroom, master bath, large kitchen, office, game room, family room. Big project!!!!

#10 REBUTTAL Owner of company

His statements are all fraudulent lies. This man is impossible in all ways and wants everything for nothing. In fact he has ripped us off & owes us $

AUTHOR: Owner - Home Install Pros - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, March 14, 2009

Again his statements are all fraudulent lies. This man is impossible in all ways and wants everything for nothing. In fact he has ripped us off and my attorneys have determined he owes us a lot of money among many other things. Again I challenge this person (I wont use HIS name or address out of respect for him and his family) to show proof of what he is saying. Again I have on the other hand have receipts from all my trades and suppliers that were paid a good portion of this initial funding that he says I took- I earned it.

I do not ask or use friends and relatives to post anything on the internet, in fact they are all real customers who's projects we have completed, and after our projects most have become friends and I'm proud of that.

As a small business when you do the volume we do about of around 80 small and large projects in 2008 and close to 2 million in gross sales you are bound to eventually, especially in this economy, come across a few impossible people and this is one of the most impossible people we have ever met.

AUTHOR: Hasko - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 13, 2009

Mr. Weinstock took $80,000 to start the work. I paid to cut the trees making room for Dumpster to be placed on my yard, he send a subcontractor to demolish 1/3 of my house where the new addition will take place. But immediately he asked me to pay every subcontractors directly and he only would show up to ask for more money. When I confronted him about the $80,000 he provided me with hand written note showing that he has paid for lumber (the company denied), that he paid for Doors and windows (which were never materialized), paid for several subcontractors (who said it is not true), paid for permit (his check bounced twice)...

After the project started several contractors came forward asking me to give them the project (in a new agreement which has nothing to do with Mr. Weinstock). My project is costing twice as much, Mr. Weistock claims that $80,000 is his profit. Mr. Weinstock blames economy so he can for all his problems. He is asking me to find him other projects so he can take money from them to continue my house (he says "that is the only way"). If I am correct he likes to take his profit first and leave you with project and subcontractors and vendors. He has been using his friends/relatives for referrals and internet posting. He has done this for many people whom I like to bring forward and expose Mr. Weinstock hoping to prevent him from doing this to others.
I do not believe it is appropriate to post his self incrementing emails here.

#8 REBUTTAL Owner of company

His statements are all fraudulent lies. This man is impossible in all ways and wants everything for nothing. In fact he has ripped us off & owes us $

AUTHOR: Owner - Home Install Pros - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 11, 2009

As a small business when you do the volume we do about of around 80 small and large projects in 2008 and close to 2 million in gross sales you are bound to eventually, especially in this economy, come across a few impossible people and this is one of the most impossible people we have ever met.

All money paid to us has been used on his project, I have provided them with a full accounting of all monies over and over again including the engineering fees and pre payment to trades and we have all reciepts supporting this. I would think if he were that dissatisfied with us he would not keep using our staff, vendors, subs, materials and our copy writted plans which they are to the fullest extent.

I even recently offered to build a master bedroom bump out fro them that was never in our original contract that they wanted for free myself, at no charge at all to them, a thirty thousand dollar value. How much more accodating can I be

This person just want a lot for nothing. In fact my attorney and accountant have determied that this man owes US alot of money.

The internet allows anyone to say anything about anyone, regardless of the truth, and this man has taken full advantage of that, the good thing we can respond as well on sites like this with the truth.

That's not going to get him get him his free 20 thousand dollar HVAC system or master bedroom build out.

Nothing he has said in this report is true or has been twisted to not even closely resemble the truth and I challenge him to produce the evidence of anything he is saying this person just want a lot for nothing. We on the other hand can produce unlimited proof by pictures, receipts, vendor and sub contractor testimonies that what this person is saying is in fact untrue in all ways. This person is simply mad that I would not "give" him thousand and thousands of dollars worth of upgrades that were never in our contract, such as the 20 thousand dollar HVAC system and a master bedroom expansion that again was never in our contract or plans.

The internet allows anyone to say anything about anyone, regardless of the truth, and this client has taken full advantage of that, the good thing we can respond as well on sites like this.

We have not abandoned him and my trades are there because I want them to be not because they are doing him a favor, they are also working on 5 other jobs I have going right now as well and all have been with me for many many years, and will continue to be.

This customers statements are false, misleading, inaccurate, frudualent lies. An impossible customer in all ways thats wants everything for nothing.

AUTHOR: Owner - Home Install Pros - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 10, 2009

As a small business when you do the volume we do about 80 small and large projects in 2008 and close to 2 million in gross sales you are bound to eventually, especially in this economy, come across a few impossible people and this one.

The mission of our company has always been is to achieve total customer satisfaction on the entire scope of every project, a mission that earned our company Home Installation Professionals, the 2008 Angie's List SUPER SERVICE AWARD by having 14 straight A, perfect customer ratings in all categories.

We have never or would never abandon this client or any of our clients, here in fact with this client as of today they using all our trades, employees, vendors. Materials and sub contractors and still are using all of them. In fact our roofers are roofing his house today. Our HVAC, plumbing and electrical pros will be finishing his home as well as will our drywall crews and finish pros. This client have been ordering all parts and using my subs and suppliers at my cost and under my accounts.

The economy slowed things down, I didn't have a unlimited pool of money that they could draw from for items outside the scope of our agreement and he didn't like that, in fact this client among many other things demanded I install a $20,000 HVAC system for free that was not in our contract or plans, I refused to do that and he became extremely angry and aggressive. All money paid to us has been used on his project, I have provided them with a full accounting of all monies over and over again including the engineering fees and pre payment to trades and we have all respects supporting this. I would think if he were that dissatisfied with us he would not keep using our staff, vendors, subs and materials which they both are to the fullest extent. Under my supervision and coordination, the variance for addition on his property was approved unanimously by the village zoning board in which I guides through the process every step of the way as well as going to all the zoning meetings as their advocate, assembled a package that was unanimously approved, under my direct supervision the property has been excavated, the concrete installed(allot more than our original plans that I did not charge him for- a seven thousand dollar value), the house framed up, the roof installed, the windows installed, all the trades and vendors have been lined up, and through me agreed to provide their services to these clients at my cost and my trades continue to service this client professionally. I have over and over again tried to reason with and accommodate this client but he continues his unfair, vitriolic, unreasonable and uncontracted for demands. We have not abandoned him by any means, by continuing to professionally finish their home we are doing all we can to please this person. I even recently offered to build a master bedroom bump out that was never in our original contract that they wanted for free myself, at no charge at all to them, a thirty thousand dollar value

This email I received today was his response- he writes,

"Here is my offer:

You have to pay me back my $80k immediately (nothing to negotiate there) followed by paying for Master Bedroom extension & front entrance"
(The master bedroom extension was never in our contract- a 30 thousand dollar value)

He continues....

"There is no other alternative."

Then is a later email today he wrote

"You have not seen anything yet, that either pay my money back or expect me to dig deeper and expose you to everyone."

"You will be lucky to get a job at McDonald once I am done with you"

That's not going to get him get him his free 20 thousand dollar HVAC system or master bedroom build out.

#4 REBUTTAL Owner of company

This customers statements are false, misleading, inaccurate, frudualent lies. An impossible customer in all ways thats wants everything for nothing.

AUTHOR: Owner - Home Install Pros - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 10, 2009

As a small business when you do the volume we do about 80 small and large projects in 2008 and close to 2 million in gross sales you are bound to eventually, especially in this economy, come across a few impossible people and this one.

The mission of our company has always been is to achieve total customer satisfaction on the entire scope of every project, a mission that earned our company Home Installation Professionals, the 2008 Angie's List SUPER SERVICE AWARD by having 14 straight A, perfect customer ratings in all categories.

The internet allows anyone to say anything about anyone, regardless of the truth, and this client has taken full advantage of that, the good thing we can respond as well on sites like this.

We have not abandoned him and my trades are there because I want them to be not because they are doing him a favor, they are also working on 5 other jobs I have going right now as well and all have been with me for many many years, and will continue to be.

Please visit our web site www.homeinstallations.com and ask our many hundreds of satisfied clients who work with us as a team about or work, integrity and honesty. Here are letters from just two of them below.

I would think if he were that dissatisfied with us he would not keep using our staff, vendors and subs which they both are to the fullest extent. Under my supervision and coordination, the variance for addition on his property was approved unanimously by the village, the property has been excavated, the concrete installed, the house framed up, the roof installed, the windows installed, all the trades and vendors have been lined up, and through me agreed to provide their services to these clients at my cost and my trades continue to service this client professionally. I have over and over again tried to reason with and accommodate this client but he continues his unfair, unreasonable and uncontracted for demands. We have not abandoned him by any means, by continuing to professionally finish their home we are doing all we can to please this person. Even recently I even offered to build a master bedroom bump out that was never in our original contract for free myself, at no charge at all, a thirty thousand dollar value, I didn't hear back from him I guess that didn't get him his 20 thousand dollar HVAC system.

Nothing he has said in this report is true or has been twisted to not even closely resemble the truth and I challenge him to produce the evidence of anything he is saying. We on the other hand can produce unlimited proof by pictures, receipts, vendor and sub contractor testimonies that what this person is saying is infact untrue in all ways. This person is simply mad that I would not "give" him thousand of dollars worth of upgrades that were never in our contract, such as the 20 thousand dollar HVAC system and a master bedroom expansion that again was never in our contract or plans. In fact they doubled the Kitchen cabinet allowance in the contract, they are paying for the cabinet upgrade but wanted me to include this upgrade to do the full job for the original contract price, so in other words he wanted me to pay the cabinet upgrade that was over 15 thousand dollars. This man wanted, in fact demanded everything for nothing and yes because of the economy I could not accommodate him. The internet allows anyone to say anything about anyone, regardless of the truth, the good thing we can respond as well on sites like this.

Again the mission of our company is to achieve total customer satisfaction on the entire scope of every project there are some, especially in this bad economy that are impossible in all ways; this is one of those customers. He wanted many things over and above our agreement that he did not want to pay for and I could not provide, even though I tried. My crews are finishing his home as I write this, under my managment the variances have been approved the permits have been issued, the excavation is done, the concrete has been installed, the framing has been done, the windows are in, the roof is on and the plumbing, electrical and HVAC are being done this week by my crews and all his materials and parts are coming from my vendors under my accounts including the kitchen. I don't know how this is abandoning him.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Rebuttal to Haskos extremely unture, unfair and frudulent claims

AUTHOR: Owner - Home Install Pros - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 09, 2009

Unfortunately, the accusations made by this client are misleading and inaccurate and while I could counter with a long and detailed response, it would be exhaustive. Instead I invite you to recognize these as negative, false and misrepresented accounts by a disgruntled and impossible to please individual who was trying to take advantage, but even more importantly, to note that these are the exception to all other customer testimonies. The mission of our company is to achieve total customer satisfaction on the entire scope of every project, a mission that earned our company Home Installation Professionals, the 2008 Angie's List SUPER SERVICE AWARD by having 14 straight A, perfect customer ratings in all categories.

This historically bad economy has only recently created these extremely difficult negative responses and the circumstances in which they occurred. Out of the hundreds of 100 percent satisfied clients over just the last two years we have had problems only with six customers and four of those six customers occurred in the last 6 months during the economic free fall we have all been experiencing. We have not abandoned this client here infact as of today they using all our trades, employees, vendors and sub contractors and still are using all of them. In fact our roofers are roofing his house today. Our HVAC, plumbing and electrical pros will be finishing his home as well as will our drywall crews and finish pros. They have been ordering all parts and using my subs and suppliers at my cost and under my accounts. The economy slowed things down, I didn't have a unlimited pool of money that they could draw from for items outside the scope of our agreement and he didn't like that, in fact this client among many other things demanded I install a $20,000 HVAC system for free that was not in our contract or plans, I refused to do that and he became extremely angry.
