Il am a survivor of "Hurricane Sandy" and its aftermath. I do not know what is worse dealing with the Goverment, Insurance Companies, or Contractors. This particular company "Bright Claims"handles all the outsourcing of claims for the big cheats. New York Property Insurance Company which holds the insurance on my real estate uses them. NY-Property after "Hurricane Sandy" was unreachable for 3- 4weeks, so it was impossible to try an place a claim. Then they sent someone from the Mid-West to inspect the property after a Month or so. His report goes to Bright Claims and naturally they will do everything in their power to deny or reduce payment to the homeowner.
After a lot of back and forth I get another Adjuster to come visit, and he agrees with what I thought should have been covered. As a result of damage from wind that occurred during "Sandy" my wood fence is on the brink of collapse. A claim is submitted back to "Bright Claims" and the horror begins. A representative named "Julie Pringle" is assigned to my case. She is by far the worse customer service representative in the world. No manners, disrespectful, rude, and obnoxious. She tries to plea bargain claims, knock down reimbursements, and discredit everything I say or try to prove.
If at all possible have nothing to do with this company and or person. I am filing complaints with the N.Y. State Dept. of Insurance and the Governor's office.

First, let me start off this rebuttal by saying I am deeply sadden by the amount of devastation that took place in NY from this strom to all residents. I have worked very hard in this industry for many years to help as many insureds reclaim their lives after such devastation. There are so many others that really lost everything. Their homes were washed away on Fire Island or completely inudated with flood waters and are unlivable. They still have no where to go. I will not speak on behalf of Bright Claim or New York Property but I will defend my self. Whoever this is that wants to bash me on social media, that is fine. If your accusation is that I was rude to you, it was because you did not like what you were hearing. I am not a Public Adjsuter not do I try to beat down estimates or cheat anyone. Your policy is a contract and coverage is afforded as such. Instead of complaining about your impending doom becuase your wood fence is on the brink of callapse, think about the children that didnt get to go trick or treating on Halloween or celebrate Thanksgiving around their dinner table or Christmas in their own homes for that matter because they didnt have a home to live in. I have also filed a complaint and talked with the Govenrnor from New York and police officials and they say I should sue you for defemation of charater because you know nothing about me.

AUTHOR: ClaimAdvocate - (United States of America)

Bright Claims is a 3rd party outside Independent Adjusting (IA) concern (not  Public Adjusters) handling numerous insurance carrier claims. They work only for insurance carriers, not the policyholders. They are not Public Adjusters. Most carriers do not have a large enough staff to handle all their claims when a storm hits. They outsource their work.

Your right, they get work from your insurer if they keep the costs down, way down, and at your expense. The adjusters are not on your side and if they bring out their own contractors, they work in tandem with each other to low ball the bids until you sign a contract to let them do all the work then a  supplemental bid of 40-60% more is added and paid to their pet contractor. Either way, the adjuster and contractor have a conflict of interest in dealing with you fairly. They are paid by your insurer. In 1929 it was called racketeering. Today its an accepted method of defrauding you by rigging the game.

You should consider hiring someone on your side,  a real Public Adjuster who works for you. They almost always get you 40-60% more than the adjuster can allow on your claim. You should never pay over 10-15 % for a Public Adjuster fee..NEVER! A good and real PA is one who has worked inside the insurance carriers. Do not use contractors who claim to now be a Public Adjuster. There is more to your claim than just writing an estimate by a contractor. Get a real Public Adjuster to handle your claim and get what is owed you under the policy. Put the money in your hands to make repairs, not the contractor hands. Its your choice to take a cash out and not make repairs with their pet contractors. Get your own sub contractors and save even more money to put in your pocket. Yes, you bet, there are a lot of thieves out there. Get the money in the hand first before doing any repairs.
