I had a work related claim re-opened in 2002, for a shoulder and neck injury, after a long 4 months of them 'investigating' the need.

I was out of work for several months. Upon my return to work in January of 2004, I entered a light duty assignment.

Without my knowledge, Broadspire change my occupational injury to a non-occupational injury, after several "Independent Medical Examinations", that they sent me to, and the final IME report stated, that my condition was no longer due to my occupation.

These "IME" doctors, are paid by Broadspire, to give a biased opinion. These so called doctors, don't know me, or my history, other than by a file.

In April I injured myself at work again, while performing those light duties. My restrictions from my doctor, were made permanent, after this current injury, thus giving The Boeing Co., reason to give me a medical lay off.

Broadspire is claiming that my medical lay off, was due to a non-occupational injury, the one that was originally an occupational injury, so they are not liable to pay time loss.

My doctor has stated that these permanent restrictions, are due to my current injury, and unable to work, as a result. Broadspire has continued to give me a run around on what they are waiting on, to start paying me time loss. I have made many calls, and complaints, to the state of Washington, The Boeing Co., and Broadspire, to no avail.

I recieved a copy of a letter from the state, to my employer, stating that they are responsible to paying me time loss, if my doctor certifies I am unable to work due to this injury. He has done this. Of course, the time loss benefits are provisional, as they have requested more time to investigate the claim.

I find this company to be extremely unethical, as I was injured at work, with a witness, and they have refused to pay me time loss, from the date of my medical lay off, on July 2, 2004, to date.

They continue to give me another reason, each and every time, I actually am able to get a hold of them. I would like to see an injured worker, get just a little bit of respect, and consideration, for once. Instead we are guilty, till proven innocent.

Companies need to practice ethics from the top down, and so far they have not.
