Broadstar Internet - Quotes 12 Mbps and never comes above 2-3 mbps A big Lie gainesville Florida

Broastar internet is the only internet available at Reserve at Kanapaha at Gainesville, FL. When I signed up for connection, I was told that the internet is really good from Broadstar and I have 2 packages 3 mbps and 12 mbps. As I have to do office work on internet, I opted for 12 mbps thinking that, I will have a good speed.

Since I got the internet, My speed is never above 2-3 mbps, only in night at around 2 am or so it goes upto 4-5 mbps for sometime. This really sucks as I cant do any of my work from home computer. I already signed the lease with the apartment complex and didnt want to break it. But at least I told my 4 friends who ere thinking of moving in the same complex the reality of internet.

I am a professional person and I understand that mistakes can happen but this is really frustating when you get so less than what you are paying for. The company's response is that 'Oh! many people use during the peak time so bandwidth goes dow' but seriously this much. there are other cable providers in town and at so many places people use it, that doesnt mean there internet speed goes down. I understand from 12 to 10 or even 8 but 12 to 2 is ridiculos and paying so much for it.

I am stuck and hope that things will get better but at least hope that people who will read this will get some help in selecting their apartments before signing a lease.

If any broadstar representative will read this, I request them to please take it seriously as a problem to the customers not as a joke. I am a person who can still live with bandwidth of 6-8 but 2 is really hard for me to work on.
