Brookstone Sells out of date merchandise and does not stand behind it Internet

I purchased a heated vest form Brookstone at the end of the summer. I used it once on the first day cold enough and the battery did not recharge a second time. I called Brookstone and was informed of their 30 day return policy and was told to call the manufacturer.

After some persuasion the manufacturer ageed to replace the battery with a $20 handling charge. The manufacturer told me that Brookstone had sold me an out of date battery and that is why it would not hold the charge. In fact the manufacture no longer uses the battery sold to me by Brookstone.

I recontacted Brookstone and was basically told that I was "just out of luck." The supervisor, Lisa, was rude and couldn't care less whether I did business with the company or not.
