Brown (Raymond) Fisher poses as an agent for Lombard Finance in the UK, and uses their website to give the illusion of legitimacy. He also lists the website of Lombard Finance in Australia, but they are 2 different companies, not affiliated with each other.

He issues Term Sheets for commercial loans, real estate loans, etc., using the Lombard logo. The term sheets are poorly formatted and hard to read, making it suspicious from the outset. He also lists a New York address on West 23rd Street in Manhattan, but won't provide a Street Number for that address.

Within just a few days, he'll provide the Term Sheet for whatever loan you want. He says if you just sign the Term Sheet, the money will be wired to you after you pay a bank and agent commission, seperately and UP FRONT before the loan proceeds are wired.

Naturally, if you wire him the upfront fees, you will never see a loan. No lender wires you money with just a signed Term Sheet. We didn't fall for it because, my gosh, we've run across so, so many of these people in the last few years. It has gotten really old, and makes you wonder if there are any real investors or lenders left out there.

This guy's grammar and spelling are poor, he doesn't have a good knowledge of how companies operate, and doesn't know much about legitimate loan processes. All of these are signs that you aren't dealing with a real lender.

Don't send him money, don't send him sensitive information about yourself or your company. He will undoubtedly pop up somewhere using a different name very soon, and probably using some other company's logo and website.

I tried notifying the real Lombard Finance in the UK about this guy, but they don't respond, so maybe they don't care. By the way, the real Lombard finances things like equipment and vehicles, not commercial loans.
