Buckeye Broadband Buckeye Cablevision Buckeye Broadband wrongfully terminates and Discriminates against Disabled Veteran Holland Ohio

 Two and a half years ago I applied for a small cable subsidiary of Block Communications to be a field technician. Two years and five months later I was called in for an interview. I drove 200 miles for it. The manager interviewing me wasn't even on time but I waited of course. Two weeks later I was asked for To take a test I attended passed the test. Then another two weeks later I was asked for a second interview. I passed it too. Then I was given a drug test, signed off on a background check and did a physical. I passed those as well mind you each time I was driving to go to these interviews and tests. I was offered employment I accepted after talking it over with my wife. We gave up our house, loaded a large house full of furniture, and bought a second car so I could get back and forth to work after learning that this company doesn't take their work vans home. I had given my job of three years proper notice and left.

I started work on Nov 28th 2016. My family and I were staying in a hotel . The schedule was mon-fri . I went to orientation mon and tues them I worked on the truck with someone . While I was in orientation I learned most people worked there already for upwards of a month and many had already paired up. One guy came in late so I paired up with him. I finished out the week and started back to work on December 5th. The day was fine. The next day on Tuesday I was called into the office and a man I'd never seen before had five security officers with him. He told me I was fired and to turn in my badge immediately. Naturally I asked him why? He said "you weren't liked at orientation I got complaints that you weren't liked you are fired not welcomed here and you may call HR if you'd like. " I was sick to my stomach. I moved my wife and three kids all with special needs here to be ruined because someone didn't like how I looked I barely said anything to these people in the week I was there unless asked to respond to something. I was the only one walked out. The same guy who came in late is still employed there go figure. I called and called and my wife even called and pleaded with the hr guy named Steven Stockdale not to fire me. He told me he would go talk to the others again then called back the next day to say they made up their mind you aren't welcomed back. I hung the phone up.

Who does this I fought for this country made it back here disabled but not unable to work and this a*****e ruined my family's life and well being and safety just because of personal bias?!? Who hired these a*****e backwards incompetent intellectually stupid a*s idiots is what I've We had to move back 200 miles with no house to come back to, a second car note upcoming and kids not in school now. I am disgusted and I'm urging everyone don't bother applying or working or paying for their cheaply created low class service for this BS company. Quite frankly they are setting themselves up to be bought by a bigger company I wish I had known they were like this beforehand. Even though I didn't make as much money at my old job I would have stayed put. I am just sickened and we are now staying at my mothers in laws house who does not have room and we have all of our belongings stuck in storage 200 miles away and we lost our pets.

Buckeye Broadband loves to tell people they are backed by a union but truth is if you don't have 31 days teamsters union does nothing for you and does care what happened to you and even at 32 days they may still just barely care because you haven't been there 90 days. So much for unions. What is the point if employers can use and abuse you permanently kick you out because you haven't any protection from day 1? Some things need change and reform and employment is one of them. There's no way I could have kept my job when I have people who planned to take it away to begin with. For all I know this may have been their plan from the start. Why did it take so long to even call me in the first place is something I still wonder but one thing is for certain I wish I never ever took the call that day.

Thank you to whoever reads this I am just simply wanting to warn people and hopefully find others were wrongfully discrimated against by this company. To Steven Stockdale the staff who decided to do this to a family of disabled kids and a disabled veteran I hope you feel proud or important about yourself because you're not. What you took from me I'll be resilient and get better. No one should work with trash and filth or pay for such.
