I typically rent vehicles from Budget EVERY MONTH, sometimes twice a month on weekends for about 2 years now. On each occassion of the rental, I have left my vehicle there. After 2 years of leaving my car there at Budget I just found out the hard way that they do not allow customer parking...they towed my car along with many of their other customers who obviously was under same impression that they allowed customer parking. Enterprise Car Rental does! I picked up a rental around 8pm Friday night and returned their vehicle on Monday at the same time. I noticed that the customer lot was cleared and my car was missing. After talking briefly to the manager who rudely walked away from me and never returned, I was given a telephone number to a tow company who may have my car. Budget couldn't tell me for sure if that towing did or not. Budget told me to call the tow people myself the next morning. I had to keep their rental car one more day to have transportation. That cost me $40 additional along with $260 one day tow expense. Budget never had it posted that you could not leave your car parked there. It's definitely not on the contract either. If it was posted I'm for sure after renting a car faithfully twice a month for 2 years, I should have known by now.

Every car they had towed belonged to THEIR customer. That showed inconsideration on their part and that they DO NOT care about their customers. To top it all off, I contacted Budgets Customer Service Department the next day, Tuesday morning at 9am. I was disconnected by one rep (Amanda) after speaking with her for about 20 minutes on the situation. She put me on hold, never came back, and the phone hung up. That's right! I had to call back a spoke to another customer service rep for about 30 minutes, Cyndy J. who said she will call me back at one of the two numbers I left for her to contact. She exclaimed that their computers were "CRASHED" and she could not give me a case number at that time. I wanted to report the manager's attitude who exclaimed that they were telling customers that they will tow their car if they left it. "UNTRUE", or I would have never left my car there to be TOWED!

The rep who waited on me was Patricia (Pat). She made much small talk with me while renting the car because we have the same first name but never once did she mention the weekend warning of towing cars. So now, I have spoken with Cyndy on Tuesday and by Friday afternoon I had not received a call back from her. I called again around 2pm and spoke with another rep who says that he could not find the report Cyndy made in the system and she was off that day. Obviously while Cyndy was too busy defending that location manager to me, she failed to do HER job as a customer service rep (FILE THE COMPLAINT REPORT)regardless of her opinion of the situation. I never received an apology from the manager or a sincere apology from the reps only the last gentleman I spoke with on that Friday. He was able to give me a case number I'm only assuming that a complaint report was made. When returning the car at the location,I can say that many unprofessional attitudes with the customer service reps and definitely the manager took place that I have not disclosed here. However, I will send a letter to their corporate office "Cendant" in NJ shortly. I'm for sure the other CUSTOMERS who paid a ONE DAY $260 towing expense feels the same way. If it was longer than 1 day, I feel sorry for them.
