Budget - Cendant Cendant - Budget pulled a bait and switch on my elderly mother Internet

My mother rented a car from these thieves for one week out of their Providence, RI location and received a rate of roughly $200 total.  She needed to return the car to Logan Airport in Boston and called during the week to change her reservation.

At that time she was re-quoted a rate of roughly $400 total to return the car to a different location from where she picked it up.

The only paperwork she ever signed was when she picked up the car at the original location.  The Customer Ripoff Rep at Budget never bothered to process the change of drop off location and when she received her statement, it now read over $850.00 total.

For a one week rental.

We tried speaking with the Ripoff Reps at Budget but they refused to allow us to get through to anyone in authority to discuss why the change was not processed and abruptly told us to take it up with the credit card company.  Of course, this round of incompetent hacks never bothered to note that we were disputing the charges due to another reps incompetence.

We did a chargeback for the additional $450.00 which she did not agree to and now are in the process of fighting it out with the credit card company.

We will never ever use Budget Car Rental again and have made a point of telling everyone we know what rip off scam artists they are.  Do not give Budget Car Rental your credit card because they will do what they please and charge as much as they can bill to it.

If any of the flunkies are bothering to read this - assuming they can read at all - I also canceled my corporate accounts for all of our business travel arrangements with Budget Rental Rip Off con artists them and advised our accounting department to hold up all outstanding payments to them until this is resolved.

Oh yeah, I'm also in the travel industry and have taken up a new hobby.  Specifically NOT recommending Budget Car Rental service to my clients.

Sometimes you just don't know whose mom you just tried to take advantage of.
