Budget Transmission put a transmission in our 1991 Suburban we told them it still sounded funny they said if anything happened to bring it back that it was under warranty. They implied that we could go anywhere and it would be covered. So we drove it and it seemed OK.

Our sister-in-law wanted to borrow it for a trip to Washington State so we said she could. When she got out there the transmission went out when we called Budget they said the warranty was only good in Cheyenne and we should have it towed back and that they would fix it.

We checked around and the cost for towing was well over $3,000 plus they expence of getting our sister-in-law back to Cheyenne we called Budget again they said they were not responsible. In the end we had to have a new transmission put it at the cost of $1,870.23 (lessor of the two evils)

I don't believe that I am the only one this has happen to. If you have had trouble with them also please respond

Consumers be where

AUTHOR: Jj - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 04, 2007

My son (16) was ripped off by "Budget". We took his truck to another shop and they fixed it. There wasn't any way that I was taking anything back to "Budget" for them to "not" fix. Keep up your great work on irritating them and don't worry, by word of mouth, this site will be seeing more consumers that were ripped off by "Budget", as I hear complaints from consumers every week about this "company". I have one suggestion for the female employee that commented on here, it's called spell check and proper verbiage, or just an education.

1st ammendant being restricted? CASE DROPPED BY CHEYENNE DA

AUTHOR: Coleen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, March 25, 2007

According to the statutes Of Wyoming, section c, QUOTE"

(c) This section does not apply to an otherwise lawful demonstration, assembly or picketing. "

UNQUOTE apparently the officer didn't read down far enough. Of well my public defender called me and said the DA would suspend it for six months and if I didn't get into any more "PROBLEMS" they would then drop the case. I said NO I wanted to go to court with a jury trial as I didn't believe I had done anything wrong. He even called me back to see if I was sure. I said yes then a couple days later he calls and says the DA dropped the case. I was surprised so I didn't think to ask for my due process but that's water under the bridge. I can resume protesting However the told me if I go on the street in front of Budget Transmission I will probably be cited again and that is just too much time for me to be tied up with the legal system. I will continue with the protesting just not right by them. I am also filling out the paperwork to take them to small claims court.

I also found out that I am not the only one they have been taken to court before. Also heard a rumor about some not so happy people in Scotts Bluff NE. I still believe that they are restricting my first amendment right to freedom of speech, and I also believe that Budget Transmission has friends in the judicial system, but I am still fighting for what I believe to be right. I HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY BUDGET TRANSMISSION RIPPED US OFF

BUDGET TRANSMISSION is SCARED?

AUTHOR: Coleen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 03, 2007

YES IT IS TRUE I HAVE BEEN CITED FOR STALKING But I am going to fight Budget Transmission said they were scared of me being outside their business as they don't know what I will do. (I am a 53 year old widow with back and hip problems just what do they think I'm Gonna do?)Thats why I protested from my chair. So they called the police and I was cited for stalking.

I DON'T KNOW WHEN PEACEFULL PROTESTING became Stalking but apparently according to WY laws thats what I am doing We will be going to court and see what happens. They are still rip offs and there is nothing they can do or say that will change that. I have talked to the media and we are waiting to see what happens. Still if you are having trouble with your transmission and you are in Cheyenne WY I would think thrice before I tried Budget Transmission

They called police again andthis time I was issued a citation

AUTHOR: Coleen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 07, 2006

Well I am still protesting and doing the same as Iv'e been doing the last few weeks. They have called the police on me on several different occassions and I was told I wasn't doing anything wrong, but this time a different officer came on the scene and said they have pictures of me obstucting traffic One has to be a picture of my niece driving one of my own vehicles that stopped for a second to say HI the other I'm not sure I will see it when we go to court. This is a small street with very minimal traffic only 1 business you guessed it Budget Transmission We all know it only tacks a second to snap a photo. Also didn't see them taking a photo of the lady with the dog that stopped to take my pic and tried to get me to bring the sign closer( SET UP )

Yougot that right, Marc

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 24, 2006

In every single case of a vehicle being brought to me torn up, the conversation has always begun with "I let my buddy use it...".

Had a guy bring me his Bronco once. The engine was shot, the tranny was shot, the transfer had a crack(you know what caused that), the windshield was cracked, the body didn't have a flat spot on it, the interior was caked in mud, etc. The tires even had huge cuts in the sides.

"I let my buddy use it...".

NOBODY drives my cars.

Coleen, about your sister-in-law.

AUTHOR: Marc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 23, 2006

One thing I've learned over my years in the towing industry is that you shouldn't loan out your vehicle, no matter who it is. EVER! I'm not sure why, but if a car breaks, it's usually when a non-owner is driving it. My theory is that if they don't have a dime in it, they simply abuse it. I hope your relative is paying for the repair. After all, she could have rented a truck instead of burdening you with this problem.
An example: My neighbor just loaned his relative his new Ford truck, "for a day, to move." He hunted it down after three weeks, and it's hammered. Dents down one side, rear bumper near pulled off, and won't even start. He had it towed home, and discovered the number plates are now missing. I saw it being used to jump-start another vehicle, and saw it running around town with different drivers. He called the cops and they told him there is nothing they can do about it, it's his own stupidity. Vehicles are just too expensive to loan out.

concerning rebuttal

AUTHOR: Coleen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 23, 2006

First of all yes the car lot did have the work done at our request because although they had it repaired earlier at Budget Transmission it still wasn't right and we also paid the car lot for the work. We bought the vehicle on the 17th of Feb also went to Budget Transmission and they told us to try it out for the weekend we went back on Monday the 20th Feb and told them it still wasnt right.

Now with my understanding of math the 20th Feb fall into the 10 day period from the 17th of Feb. They took in in the shop and still told us everything was OK. Well we had to go back the very next day the fuel lines which were located above the transmission were somhow mysteriously punctured or split. That cost another $265.00 over the original PRICE OF THE REPAIR > Mr Kelley is my fiance We were not offered a Nation wide warranty (wonder why) as much as we travel I can assure you we would have purchesed one.

But I need you to know it was implied verbally that if we had any trouble anywhere we would be taken care of. We only asked them to help out with the cost of either getting it back here $3,000.00 plus or another transmission $1,870.23 and when we tried to go through the Attorney GeneraL WE STATED THAT $935.12 would be half of the money we were out this time if you add it up it is much more because the also broke our windshield while it was in their shop

budget transmission center responce

First of all this lady didn't pay for the rebuild a car lot paid for it(on 2/8/06) and it was below $800.00 the car lot then sold vehicle to a mr kelley.

Who came back for a 10 day inspection on 2/20/06 which if they read their warranty is to be done 10 day's after job is done which would have been the 18th not the 20th. but we did the 10 day check.

When they called to tell us about the transmission problem we told them that we would take care of the transmission problem but they would need to get the vehicle back to us because the warranty is good at this location only.. The stamped on warranty states that on the repair order.

Yes we do offer nation wide warrenty but you do have to pay extra for them. Here is how my standard warrenty reads:
(12month/12,000 mile warranty on transmission only.Return in 10 days for an inspection on transmission. If no 10 day return is done warranty is void. Warranty is good at this location only. od ----, date initals)

We tried to work with these people but they wanted us to pay another transmission shop more money then what we initally charged the car lot for a rebuild. If you ask me the rip off is the repair shop that charged them $1,870.23for a 1991 GMC Suburban.
Thank you,
Budget Transmission Center
