Budget Truck Rental This place is a joke!!! Levittown Pennsylvania

Where do I start. I went into this location on July 1 to reserve a 24 foot truck. I was traveling from PA to AZ. When I went to pick up the truck, they told me that I did not have a reservation. They asked if I had made the reservation online. I told them that I had made it in the same office I was standing in. They claim they didn't have a reservation. Meanwhile, I was holding the paper confirming the reservation. They then try to charge me $1000 over my reservation price. That was just the beginning...Next, I went out with the "rental agent" to look at the truck, there was front end damage around the passanger headlamp assembly, grafitti, and the change oil light was on on the dash. He never noted any of this damage on the paperwork. The rental agent then told me that it was just to let them know that the oil would soon need to be changed. If I felt like I needed to change it to have piece of mind that I could change it myself. Then I get the truck to my storage unit, try to pull the ramp out, and it gets stuck half way out. I cannot get it back in nor will it come out any further. So I call the dealer, he tells me to bring the truck back....mind you he knows the ramp is sticking out....

So then he tells me that there is another truck available. By now I have lost almost a full day. I finally get on the road, it turns out there seems to be transmission issues. On flat ground at 30 mph, the truck has a big problem shifting and shakes almost uncontrollably. I get the truck to Pittsburgh, PA and had enough, I contacted a moving company to complete my move and take the truck back to the nearest budget dealer. He tells me to contact the customer service and advise them that I returned the truck to his location and have them call him to advise him of what to do with the truck.

And if all this isn't enough........I NEVER EVEN SIGNED A CONTRACT FOR THE TRUCK!!!! I was driving a truck for several days and never even had a contract......

Do yourself a favor and find another rental company or just hire a moving company. The customer service is terrible.
