mr peterson and co. sold and installed a modular home with some defects to a family. mr peterson did not want to address and do all the repair needed and disappeared. factory and lender seem can not or do not want to help to address problems.

mr peterson got some of his money from the bank even it took almost over a year for the home owner just to start construction. lenders and factory, i think, should help in anyway they can to stay clean and avoid putting a bad reputation to the modular home inadustry by some dishohest home builder/contractor.

mr peterson i heard filed bankrupcy but at the same time, i was told, still doing business under " SYSTEM BUILT CONST. INC. " runs by his partner VICTOR ANGULO ,and also using one or some of his worker's contractor liscense.

mr peterson claims so many good things about him and his company and that all his clients will be treated right and fair no matter what, and his products will have the best quality and affordability, and this did not happen to this family and some other clients!!

we want them investigated by the proper authorities to the full extent of the law! these clients work very hard for their money to be treated this way!!

Roberto Ting Needs to Get Honest with the Facts

AUTHOR: Eric Peterson - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 20, 2009

In regards to the complaints filed by Roberto Ting under the pseudonyms Angry Victim, Altamont Homes, Inc. met all of its contractual obligations to him. Altamont also offered to financially compensate Mr. Ting for some alleged problems with the house after it was completed, despite the fact that it was clear that most, if not all, of the alleged problems were not caused by Altamont. Mr. Ting refused the offer of compensation and demanded that Altamont fix the alleged problems instead.

In an effort to satisfy Mr. Ting, Altamont agreed to this demand and started to fix the issues. Later, however, Mr. Ting stated that it would be too messy and disruptive for Altamont to continue the work and said he wanted Altamont to now give him the original amount it had offered to him in compensation. Altamont stated that it had already agreed to fix the problems in lieu of the compensating Mr. Ting and would not go back to the original offer given that Altamont had now already spent a lot of money on the work. Altamont Homes and Mr. Ting reached an impasse over this issue which was not resolved before Altamont had to declare bankruptcy.

We found out later that another reason why Mr. Ting may not have wanted us to continue repairs at the property was because he was doing his own work on the home at that same time, turning a large storage area into living space without a proper permit.

In regards to alleged delays, the majority of the time in his project was spent waiting for Mr. Ting to get the building permits from the City, as he had decided to do this work on his own. Maybe this delay was the fault of the city, but it certainly was not the fault of Altamont.

Also, Mr. Ting criticizes the quality of our workers but at the same time was hiring them to do work on the side for him. He even solicited at least two of my workers to enter into a fake marriage for money with his niece in the Philippines so that she could move to the U.S. and get a Green Card.

Although Mr. Ting characterizes himself as a victim in his complaints, it is actually quite the opposite.
