Bulldog Ravine puppy ripoff Pine Grove Pennsylvania

Hello, my name is Mattie and I am writing to see if anyone has had the same experience we have.

We purchased one of the beautiful puppies (Crystal) that we saw on an email just like the one below that we all received. The day after we picked up our puppy we noticed it had a severe cough, and took it to the vet for a check up. We were told by the vet that she had a serious upper respiratory infection that turned into pneumonia.

When we contacted Bulldog Ravine to tell them that the dog was sick and to see if they would help with the vet bills ($1500.00 to date and the infection is still not cured) they refused and said they don't cover that in their contract. They have tried to bully (no pun intended) us into accepting their terms (they have offered $400.00) and keep referring to their contract, which we have been informed by our counsel is as good as the paper it is written on since it contradicts the law.

Since we spent so much time at the vet's office, we met a lady that informed us of the Puppy Lemon Law, which we come to find out after reading it that we should have gotten a copy of it from the breeder at the time of purchase and didn't. When we learned of this law we retained an attorney and filed complaints with the Attorney Generals Office

When we asked for the registration papers for our puppy, the breeder is saying that the puppy cannot be registered and that it was sold as a pet. We were never told that it couldn't be registered and in fact they told us that we should receive the papers in about 60 days when we picked her up.

On their website they claim that All puppies come with a Health Guarantee,Vaccination Record (All puppies are vaccinated with Duramune Max 5 CVK and/or Nobivac 5 Puppy DP and * full AKC or FCI (AKC Transferable) Registration papers (if requested) unless otherwise stated. All puppies are Dewormed at 6 wks and every 2 weeks thereafter.

* It must be understood that registration papers may take up to six months through the FCI and AKC registered clubs. We cannot guarantee AKC registration because AKC does not guarantee it themselves. We will however do our best to help you to register the puppy AKC. If you need help transfering the information from your Foreign Registration Certificate (Export Pedigree) to the AKC Foreign Dog Registration Form just go to this help link and they are now telling us differently. Since day one everything we were told by this breeder has been a lie.

We just want to warn anyone that is thinking of purchasing a bulldog from any breeder to do their homework and get educated on the process of purchasing a puppy and what to look for in a reputable breeder. If we would have read everything we have read in the past 3 months before making our purchase we would have never purchased from this breeder.

We love our puppy very much and have suffered seeing it be so sick and just want to make sure no one else suffers so much.
