I brought my scooter to Burbank Kawasaki for repair in mid October (2009) and explained to mechanic Alex what the problem was. I was very detailed. It took them over a week. I picked up the bike and the bike had the SAME problems--as if they never even fixed it! I called back October 23rd and told new head mechanic Mike Gauba to "check the starter" because the bike wasn't starting up the right way. Alex had left the companyI can see why. This took almost a freaking month for him to fix! He kept telling me one bullshit excuse after the other, from "waiting for the switch to come in" to "I'm gonna order a USED starter and it'll be an additional $75." (!!!) I already paid them $215 in October. All I got from that was an expensive tune up.
Finally, on Friday November 20Th, I got a ride up there from a friend and saw my scooter way up against a wall surrounded by other bikes outside collecting dustTHEY WERENT EVEN WORKING ON IT!! I was LIVID. I met with the owner Leon Ballissimo who is never there...told him my story and told him I wanted to tow it out, they had it way too long. Leon says to me The parts for your bike are hard to get. Bullsh*t. I told Leon all you had to do was call the ACTUAL MANUFACTURERTHE PARTS ARE THERE. This is my property for Gods sake and I need it to get around. Leon got on Mike's case to get the bike out and work on it again, get the used starter in. Leon said to me he could not find the second work order which was needed to work on the scooter, this is done by their computer.
I mean, how INCOMPETENT AND DISORGANIZED can a company be? They are THE WORST to do business with. AND they didn't even give me a loaner for my super long wait and troubles. I am trying to get a job after being laid off and need my scooter for my job hunt. I explained this to Mike, does he care? Of course not. DO NOT GO TO BURBANK KAWASAKI ON NORTH HOLLYWOOD WAY. And...they are closed on Mondays. Why be closed on a business day? For all the d**n waiting and bullcrap excuses I got from mechanic Mike AND not being called back with an answer by him when he said he would, makes me want to let the world know how bad they are. If he was honest and upfront and told me he couldnt fix it, then I would of towed it out much sooner and looked for other options. Making anyone wait that long is atrocious.
