Burger King I got charged 42.66 for a value meal!!! My daughter and I went into the Liberty Burger King and oredered an originak chicken value meal and a pulled pork sandwich with a small dink. The total came to $14.22. The cashier ran my debit card through THREE TIMES!! Liberty New York

 My daughter ( who is 7 months pregnant) and I went into Burger King in Liberty, NY and ordered  a value meal, pulled pork sandwich, and a small drink. The total for the order was $14.22. The cashier was "having trouble" with the card machine. She swiped my card 3 times!!!!! I didn't notice right away that all three times the charges went through until I was declined at a grocery store!!!

I went online to my account and lo and behold, there were three consecutive charges for $14.22 from Burger King. I was extremely unhappy and immediately went back to the Burger King that the charges were recieved from. Upon entering the Burger King, I asekd the General Manager if I could speak with him in private, as I didn't want the other customers to hear about the incompetance of thier staff.

I explained the situation and showed him the charges on my daughters i phone internet. He said he would go get his store manager to help us. While we were waiting for the Store Manager; the General Manager offered us a beverage. He was very nice and polite. The Store Manager on the other hand, was unbelievably rude and condenscending.

When the Store Manager came out he did not greet us or even acknowledge us. He immdeiately went over to the cashier's register and dug through the recipts as he asked us our reciept number. We told them the reciept number was #92. He looked at us like we were lying. I told him if he needed it, I would dig through the garbage.

I had proof and he basically called me a liar. At this point my blood was boiling!!! I stood there and told him I wanted my money. He kept saying there was nothing he could do. I told him I would stand there until he took time to help me and figure this out.

He ignored me and kept taking care of customers as if we weren't there. Finally, my daughter asked for the coroporate number and the manager practically threw it at her. She went outside and called the corporate number. The man ( not even going to call him a gentleman) on the phone was getting very snotty with my daughter. She ran into Burger King and said that I had better take over the call . He was swearing at her and telling her to shut up

When I took over the call, the man  told me that the person he spoke to before me was not understanding what he was explaining. After explaining the situation again, I was told that the extra charges were on my bank and there was nothing they could do. He told me to call my bank. As I was on the phone with him, I had my daughter call my bank. I was listening to him screaming in the background. My bank was very nice to me and told me that I could expect the money back by June 5th. I got back on the phone with the corporate office and told him that I took care of it with my bank. I told him that I would never eat at Liberty Burger King again. He just said "I am sorry to hear that".

So, I was severely mistreatd by the Manager and basically just told that it was not thier problem by corporate. The customers are what pay the mangers salaries. I think that Burger King should think twice before they mistreat another customer.
