At about 10:30 this morning, I went to the Burger King on the corner of Alvernon and Grant.
After waiting over five minutes in line (TRAPPED behind a car and in front of car, since it's a one-lane drive-thru), i pulled up to make my order. They told me to wait, and so i had to wait another five minutes before i could make my order. Now, upon pulling in, i saw that there was no one in the drive-thru and no cars parked in the parking lot. So, what could possibly take 10 minutes for them to get my order down?
Finally, i made my order and preceded to pick up my food. The guy, who was previously in front of me, was long gone. I saw him take off minutes before i made my order.
So, at the window, i give them my credit card. They told me it was declined, which is complete bs. I told them to do it again. They told me it was already declined: "We're sorry, sir. Your card is no good." I made them swipe it again, and lo and behold, it worked.
After a couple more minutes (by now i've been at this so-called fast-food drive-thru for almost 15 minutes, with only one person in front of me when i arrived!) waiting there for a single breakfast sandwich meal, i was pretty upset. So, when they finally gave me the food and said "thank you, have a nice day," i took it and drove off without saying anything.
I was 2 blocks away when i noticed they hadn't given me a drink. Normally, i would have said "screw it," and continued on home. But, after the service i was just given, i could not let it slide.
I drove back and went it. No one else was in there. It took me 2 more minutes for her to make just 1 coke. I let her know how i had been treated already (and this is not the first time this particular burger king has treated me this way--it will be the last however), but she ignored me and went about her business as if i were just another unsatisfied customer, as i am quite sure they get many of them.
So, I left and went home. Pretty angry at this point, I put on a movie, and opened my sandwich. I probably don't have to tell you what happened, but i will. They gave me a completely different sandwich than what i asked for. And i'll also let you know that i had given my order at both the drive-thru machine AND at the window. What could have possibly prevented them from knowing what i wanted?
I could not forget how i'd been treated and i wanted to let the manager know it. However, i've been trying to call them for over 3 hours and amazingly, they can't even pick up the phone. Perhaps they're just tired of angry customers and simply let the phone ring all day.
i seriously don't know what is going on with this place, but i know they will never get my money again.
