Bissiness Builders Department ripoff - the company made false promises about about the earning potential of the business venture they were introducing. As a result we spent $ 30,000 of hard earned money and borrowing to purchase their vending machines. Later we rearized Antares could not deliver on their promises. We were not able to place the machines a year later. and the resale price of machines was way below the $5800 paid

This company did not deliver on their promises to help us set up a provitable vending bussiness. We spent our life savings of over $30,000 to buy five of their vending machines hoping to be helped to place them in bussiness locations but failed dismally. Our initial requests to continue collaboration with the officer who introduced us to the business (Teresa Atwood) was thwated by the company administration. Our effort to have a change of the bussiness support officer alocated to us was ignored. After two yeas of struggle with the company we only have been able to re-sell the machines at a dismall price of $ 722. The price sold to us by Antares weas over $5,600 per machines plus the shipment cost. Looking at the many people struggling to resell their machines is a major alerm that this company unless checked is steeling inocent peoples money and putting many people to debt. Currently my wife and I are having to pay a bank loan of over $20,000 following this scam. Please help a desparate situation.

This Company's Scam Is As Follows

AUTHOR: Cheryl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, August 27, 2006

First, I was once the President's secretary, to my shame, in the early 90's. The job was 3 months but I had seen enough. This company had a lawsuit filed by the Federal government, and guess what, they lost to the tune of a $1,000,000 fine. They do lie about earning potential. The reason they lie is they make their money off of manufacturing the machines for cheap and inflating their cost to the small business owner. They own the company that makes the machines and they have highly polished, well rewarded sales people who go out and try to sell the machines based on the con of false earning potential.

The major problems for the buyer of these machines is placing them in a highly competitive market where most large vending companies already have the properties. It's tough to compete with these large vending companies.

Dana Bashor became a very wealthy man off of this con. He was writing bonus checks to himself to the tune of $1,000,000 in the early 90's while laying off seasonal minority employees in his corporate office that was at that time Marina del Rey. The company has been able to thrive for many years on the con, but with the advent of the Internet, the word is going to get out about this company's misrepresentations.

Do the research, look under his name on the Internet. You'll see the government filed lawsuit against his company for violating the law, and his company had to pay a steep fine.

He comes off as a polished, very well liked con, but the bottom line is, he's ripped off a lot of naive people who want badly to believe they don't have to work for a living. That's the clincher, he feels taking advantage of people looking for easy money is fully justified.

Promises made were kept.

I laugh at all the people in this world that expect something for nothing. I invested in the Antares Natural Choice program last year. Went to a seminar here in Long Island and decided to purchase their 3 machine plan. It has been a good income. They helped me get locations that have all been weekly income for me. I have invested more money in growing the business and in less than a year, have grown to 8 locations.

There is no such thing as a free lunch. I am working my business like the people at Natural Choice are showing me. It takes work and I have to service the locations every week. Not that I mind picking up the cash weekly!

The lady at the presentation told the audience about a problem the company had a decade ago, which I found online before I met with my Representive. It seemed like old news. The Distributors I spoke with all told me that the company did what they say, and I listened to my gut. I am happy. Antares is a solid company. I wish I had their support when I started my last business, I would have been more successful.

Consumer complaint

I too received an invitation to one of there seminars, having been burned in the past I too come to RipOffReport to check to see if any complaints have been filed. In this instance, Dana Bashor, Founder of "Natural Choice" an arm of Antares Corp is presenting an opportunity (with "In fact, I'm going to send you a rebate check for $1,150.00 to use if you decide to start your own home-based Natural Choice business."

Thank you fellow RipOffReport devotes, for sharing potential rip offs.

Has anyone filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission on this company? The scam that my wife and I fell for, was turned over to the FTC and we got our investment back. In that situation, the Scam went bankrupt and one of the founders committed suicide.

Thank you RipOffReport for allowing us a place to share our experiences and to forewarn others about a given company.

False advertising abounds in todays society!

I also got an invitation and as usual I check

ripoffreport.com for information. Low and behold here are a couple of reports pro and con, but the combined effect is that I will pass.

After reading the incredible testimonials and the amazing advertisment of>>>"You can have it all....more money than you've ever dreamed off, and the time and freedom to enjoy it." It sounds

too good to be true.

I wonder though what their strategy is? After reading the rubuttal here I got an idea. So thanks again ripoffreport.com for helping me acquire enough information to make a good decision. If it sounds too good to be true...IT IS! Don't Let Them Get Away with IT!

My Experience with Antares Natural Choice

AUTHOR: Don - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 18, 2005

I also bought a five machine package from Antares. However, my experience has been very positive. They did everything they said they would do to support me, but I also have to be responsible for my own business. Their marketing program was very helpful in getting my machines placed locally. But, there were 2 locations that Antares helped me get that were no good. The money was very slow. So I MOVED MY MACHINES!!!! My coach told me how to handle this and although it was temporarily inconvenient, they are now making more money.

My Interviewer/Rep kept telling me that this was not a Get Quick Rick Scheme. I have seen a few articles from people who said they thought there was not enough money in this business or they were dissapointed. I can only say that, while I am not going to retire anytime soon, my business is a great 2nd income. We are going to be able to put my two sons through college with what we are able to save. The company does what they say.

Just my 2 cents...
