I watched an infomercial late one night on t.v. for Dave Espino's Auctions on line on E-Bay. He was selling 5 books on how to start your business on E-Bay plus he would send you his latest book Beyond E-bay which was about setting up your own web page. I ordered the books and about two or three weeks later received a phone call about starting my own business on the internet. A man called Mike Smith, ID and was very friendly and tried to convince me to get their services and I told him I was not interested at the moment, he called a second time and offered the hole package to us for $ 4800and some dollars and I told him that we did not have that kind of money, he called a third time and he said that he really wanted to help us to succeed and that he had talked to his team and that they were willing to do it for $ 2840.00 my wife and we said yes to him because Mike Smith assured us the we would be making money before we started to get the bills for the money we borrowed from the credit card. He was very persuasive and we fell for it, he told us that if we wanted to be a success and really make lots of money they could show us how, and that we needed to take action right now because they were limited on their coaches. He proceeded to ask for my credit card number and we gave to him. We should have known then that it was a rip-off deal, but this guy was so friendly and acted like he really wanted to help us be a success. I had to charge the amount on my credit card. I thought that they would set up the whole web page for us it was not the case, I had to spend hours and sacrifice my weekends to do it myself; they gave me some website to visit and look for wholesalers and dropshippers on products, etc. My coach made spend more money to get a drop shippers list, then I discovered that the dropshipper I chose did not have a catalog, cd or something with pictures and descriptions of the products that I wanted to sell through my website and not only that but the prices were too high for me to resale and make any profit, it is the only supplier with the products I need for my website. When I called Ryan Morehouse my coach, I can't get a hold of him, and when I e-mail him and ask him for help he e-mail me back with stupid questions that have nothing to do with the problems I have setting up the website. Time is running out and I'm getting the bills for the website that is not even up yet, not to mention the interest rate that I'm paying for the money they charged to my credit card. I'm head of family and the only support of my family, please help me to do something to recuperate my money. Roberto Gardena, California

Refund from IDI, not from sales/The Summit Group

AUTHOR: Doreen - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 21, 2004

Roberto - have you received a refund yet???

I got 100% refund directly from the fullfillment company: IDI Internet Developement Inc because the sales group "The Summit Group" stonewalled, argued, & blamed proving that, the customer is never right.

I filed a lengthy report, see: http://ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff109132.htm

While PMI coaching handles & manages the coaching portion, who actually made the sale? Who's name is on your credit card statement?
In my situation, it was "The Summit Group" that made the sale hiding behind the name "Auctions for Income Success Team".

I think many reports target the front companies, the ones that are most visible, while the deceivers stay hidden and unaccountable.

pmicoaching.com shows they are involved in Real Estate = America's Note Network that has Unsatisfactoy BBB rating. One of their dba's is PMI, along with Dalbey Publishing, Dalby Publishing, Winning in the Cash Flow Business.

PMI left Kansas City, MO with no forwarding address but stated that this company is headquarted out of American Fork UT, which happens to be the city & state of The Summit Group, well at least the division that made the sale to me. Summits 800 number from IDI is in Maryland. PMI's Lindon UT address had unsatisfactory BBB rating and states that they had a strategic alliance with StoresOnline. Their
Kearney MO address is the same address as NMR, National Marketing Resources which was the coaching title given to me as my coaching provider. My coach was actually quite decent to me but had no power in providing refund, all that went back to the sales group "The Summit Group".
NMR & PMI show Steve Thorne as CEO or Principal.

I feel that "The Summit Group" is an umbrella name for many of the smaller companies they own or partner with. If you try to find BBB reports on the summit group, not found. But Professional Consulting Service, Professional Marketing Inc and other names all have unsatisfactory BBB reports. Couldn't find address for The Summit Group, but a search of their address turned up Summit Consulting, both show Colton Moody as CEO and has an unsatisfactory BBB rating.

They keep changing business names, moving but all complaints are similar.

StoresOnline, Orem UT, has judgement against them.
They were required to do several things: 3 day rescind, pay back consumers, provide consumers a list of all additional & optional services prior to finalizing sale. I think COSTS should be added here. The Summit group used 3 day rescind in their telephone solicitation, without the consumer benefit of listed services and costs prior to finalizing sale.

All of these companies know about this judgment and the requirements of the judgement. Yet, they continue to decieve consumers by incorporating 3 day rescind to TRAP consumers.

I feel these companies should be held accountable to the FTC requirements, lengthy description of what they are required to provide consumers. They certainly didn't provide this information to me prior to finalizing the sale. Can be found at:
http://www.data.bbb.org/denver2.asp which is America's Note Network BBB reliability report, toward the end under Educational Comments.

I've read reports from consumers that purchased
E-books, these sales/coaching groups have been calling them also. BUYER BEWARE, be careful of back door phone solicitation if you've purchased any e-book or infomercial product.
Wishing everyone the best of luck in getting their refunds. While I did receive a refund I am interested in holding them accountable for stress and expenses.

Stay strong ! Good luck !

REFUND! ...Thank You, Debbie & Rip-off Report! The BBB was absolutely NO HELP!!!

AUTHOR: Catherine - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 09, 2004

UPDATE!!! $4,395

I called PCS and spoke with their operation manager Dennis Wright who was no help at all. He blamed the losing money on me, which it is true. It was I that fell for the scam. I was the one who put my money down. I have been kicking my self since August 27, 2004 because of it.

I explained to him that the company he works for is not a registered telemarketing company. The phone call I received for their services was an illegal call. Mr. Wright soon changed his tone and offered to return $1,395 of my money. I was very tempted because I did not know what to do. I had never been scammed before so I was very close in accepting his offer.

I came upon this website and read what Debbie wrote. It works it really works. Complain to EVERY agency out there. I was in complete shock. I received all my money back in FULL. I was about to give up. My bank did not want to help me. They said since I paid with my debit card that they could not do anything. (Chase) When I read Debbie's complaint about the company I decided to use her information and run with it. I wrote to the FCC, all the local and state agencies. I filed 3 complaints in the state where the company is from too (Utah). The BBB was absolutely NO HELP!!! It's going to be a lot of faxing, calling and writing but ALL well worth it. I got a letter in the mail from PCS apologizing for the misunderstanding 2 weeks from the start of my complaint frenzy. They have FULLY refunded my money. The letter I received had one catch. I would have to stop filing complaints about them to state agencies.

Oh, by the way..Mr. Wright suddenly does not work for the company any longer.

PMI aka Storesonline aka iMergent

AUTHOR: Silver - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, September 06, 2004

Attention:

PMI is a subsidiary and/or co-partner in crime with Storesonline. Just a tid bit of information for those that use them as an independent resource for the "alleged" services they DON'T offer. I got the same phone call from them shortly after the initial rip-off from Storesonline. What a fleece organization! These snakes crawl out from everywhere. Where is Steve Irwin when you need him! CRICKY!!!

#1 UPDATE Employee

the products were 4 times the amount that people were selling them on e-bay for and all of the products were pretty cheesy

AUTHOR: Brendan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, September 05, 2004

I received and e-mail that described to me how I could purchase retail products at a cost bellow wholesale and then sell them on e-bay for however much I wanted. Being an "e-bayer" I decided this would be a great opportunity for me to make some extra cash.

I don't even have to buy the product until I sell it online! So I called up Online Supplier who was the wholesaler of a list of products and the gentleman helping me talked me into signing up for a bunch of other companies too.

Different companies had different products to sell and they all allowed a free month or so preview, some even bearing gifts when you try them for 2 weeks.

I received the phone numbers for a few of these companies and was told that at anytime if I wasn't happy with the service I could call in and cancel before my free trial was up. A few companies I didn't get the numbers for because Aaron, employee # 1566, told me that I would receive these numbers in the mail with the information that the companies would send me.

So I signed up and the next day checked out the products that they were selling online. All of the products were 4 times the amount that people were selling them on e-bay for and all of the products were pretty cheesy that no one wants to buy anyway. I called up the companies in which I had the numbers for and told them that I no longer wanted to be a member and they said, "OK, thank you for trying the free trial."

I removed myself from three companies but I knew that there were about three more that I had committed to. Not having their numbers I was left to wait for the information that I was to be receiving in the mail.

Nothing ever came and today when I checked my credit card statement there were almost $100 in charges from 4 companies related with Online Supplier, one of them being a company that I had canceled days after signing up with.
