Buy.com Another possible "bait and switch", Internet

Placed an order for items listed as being in stock. One day later, received an email from buy.co customer service advising that the item(s) were on back order. I rechecked the page where the item was listed and the were listed as IN STOCK but the price increased $23 each!

Called customer service after a long chat session only to get the standard answer.... We can cancel your order and you can reorder. The reorder will be at the new price or you can wait until they come back in stock which there is no ETA and no expectation of an arrival.

Clearly, all reputable businesses will honor a nationally advertised price, but appears that Buy.com will put you on a list that will probably never be filled, hoping you will forget or just give up! I advised that I will wait forever jus to see what happens.

IF the order is ever filled, I'll update this post a resend my complaint but usually where there's smoke there's fire. I also advised them politely that the situation was appearing very suspicious. If you place an order with Buy.com, be aware that it may not be what you expect.
