I was sent a notice from the courthouse where I used to live that a default judgement from CACH, LLC had been awarded against me.  I called the courthouse, and was told a summons was served at my old address, and I had 20 days to respond.  I told them I hadn't lived there in over a year, but they said there's nothing they could do but send me a motion form, which they did.  Amotion for relief from judgement, and had to all the way back to this town and spend the morning in court waiting for my turn to be heard.  The judge read what I had submitted, and said to me ok, I'm allowing your motion, and was told I was all set and free to go, I wasn't told of anything else I had to do.  I received a paper from the court telling me that motion to remove default and vacate default judgment has been allowed.  It alsol said that the defendant has 20 days to file a responsive pleading but no told me that was me!  I thought I won, and it was up to this company to protest it, so I didn't do anything else.

This past week, I received another paper from this courthouse, for a default judgement again, and this time, the amount was even higher!  When I called the court, the girl in the clerk's office told me I had 20 days to respond and since I didn't they won by default again!  I explained I didn't drive 3 hours, spend over $55 in gas, and wait in court to fight this only to have them get a judgement against again, but she said it's my own fault, I should have known, but I said I asked at the courthouse before I left and no one advised me that I still had to fight them, and she said the only thing she can do is send me another motion form although she doubts that the judge will allow another motion on this case!  Now, mind you, I've never even heard of this cach, llc place before, and I pulled a copy of my credit report to match up the amount they were suing me for to an old account from another company, and that's how I figured it out!  This debt was listed as a CO or charge off as of 12/08, but in 1/09, it appeared as if a payment was made on this account, and was reporting as "pays 91-120 days".

After this second default judgement paper came in, I called the credit bureau to inquire how this account could become active again, and when they went to investigate this account, I was told it was no longer listed on my credit report!  How can that be?  What is this place trying to do now?  Can I go back to the court and file another motion, or will I be wasting my time, as the girl in the clerk's office told me?  Please help me, I cannot afford to hire an attorney,  I've been attempting to handle this on my own, but not doing a very good job.  If anyone can give me any advise on what I can do now, I would very much appreciate it.
