My name is Chris Stewart and I am Mrs Godwin's neighbor.
Mrs. Godwin is 94 years old, she lives alone in Fullerton CA.
Stay away from this company! They kept calling her, finally she decided to let them bid on her wooden fence project. The guy showed up a 1/2 hr late and reeeeked of smoke! He went on telling her she had to replace her fence due to termite damage, otherwise termites will get to her house and destroy the structure. When it came down to the price the salesman became very pushy and convinced her to sign the contract for fence replacement, after offering her a bunch of discounts and telling her that this is the best deal she could ever get.
After they finished the project, I found out that California preferred builders charged her as much as SIX TIMES more then what it should have cost, and made a profit of 350% They took advantage of an elderly person who lives aloe....stay away!

Hello,
California preferred Builders would like to respond publicly to this report created by Mr. Chris Stewart as this report may be one of the only few reports on this site that contain some truth to it.
It is a fact that California preferred builders replaced a fence for Mrs. Godwin in 2012.
Our office became aware shortly after the work was completed that there was a mistake on our behalf which is a strict policy we enforce, the policy is that a relative or close friend of anyone elderly or with mental disabilities is present at the time of the meeting and when a Home Improvement Agreement is signed and we failed to comply with the policy mentioned above on this occasion.
Immediate action was taken when our office realized that we failed to comply with the policy mentioned above, the owner himself Jacob Sherf visited Mrs. Godwin along with Mr. Chris Stewart who lives next door and apologized for any wrong doing as well as issued a check with a full refund of the cost of the fence to compensate Mrs. Godwin for any wrong doing.
California Preferred builders is a legitimate company that stands behind our work and professionalism and is willing and able to take care of any dissatisfactions or complaint.
