This is a copy of the letter we sent to Call One Unlimited and Buyers Union:

We have been the victim of a number of charges that were deducted from our checking account by your company that we did not authorize. We discovered this past when we reviewed our recent checking account statements from our bank

These unauthorized charges are:

Date Company Amount

2/2/05 Call One 149.90
2/23/05 Buyers Union 119.90
3/1/05 Call One Unlimited 49.95
3/23/05 Buyers Union 19.95
3/29/05 Call One Unlimited 49.95
4/26/05 Call One Communications 49.95
5/18/05 Buyers Union 19.95
5/24/05 Call One Communications 49.95
509.50

We called Premier Benefits, a payment processor company located in Sausalito, California, at 877-663-4043. We spoke with a Theresa Morris. We listened to a recording of a salesperson speaking with me, on January 12, 2005 at 6:29 p.m.

When I learned that I had to cancel this service within 30 days or my account would be charged, I said no, that I didn't want the service. In fact, I said no twice on the recording. (It sounded like they had spliced my respones in to other questions they had asked). Unfortunately, I had already given the salesperson my bank account routing number.

Beyond the phone call of January 12, I received no other information, either in the mail or a phone call from Call One or Buyers Union. We have been charged for a service that we never used or received further information about. If we had received information in the mail, we could have cancelled the service.

Our bank tells us that Buyer's Union and Call One Unlimited are the same company. We are writing to ask you to immediately refund the charges of $509.50 that you deducted from our checking account without our authorization. Attached are copies of the bank drafts that we received from our Bank.

Copies of this memo are being sent to the offices of the attorney general and the banking commission in the states where your offices are locatedCalifornia and Illinoiswhere your payment processing centers are locatedPennsylvania and Californiawhere the bank drafts were processed (as shown on the attached copies)Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Californiaand the state where we resideKansas.
