CAMCO; Capital Acquisitions & Management Company ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing deceptive company Rockford Illinois

I received a letter in the mail stating I owed them $1,840. It took me by surprise because I had not owed anyone that amount of money since I bought my fist house.

Upon further reading of the letter, I saw that the original creditor was "Security Pacific Fin" Ok big flag. One I have never opened an account with them, 2 - I have never, ever owned a credit, gas, department store or any other credit card.

I was told it was from an account that I open and the last time I paid on it was in November 1989.

Now when I asked them who the original creditor was they did not know.

What the original debt was, they did not know.

Where was the account originated, they did not know.

Hummmmm,

Then the told me that I could pay $352.08 as a settlement officer. I again raised an eye brow. This was not feeling right to me. First a company out of the blue contacts me saying I owe them money. Next, they offer a settlement and after talking with them about this they lower it to $176.04

I then contacted the Department of consumer protection and wouldnt you know it. They have been receiving numerous reports about this company. They told me that because the disputed account was over 13 years that it had reached its statue of limitations and that I did not have to pay them and it would not be reported on my credit report.

I intend to trash any literature I recieve from them.
