Camco ripoff strong-arm scare tactics to my fiance Rockford Illinois

On 7-20-04, my fiance Henrietta B. received a call from a woman claiming she owed $ 1,400 on a credit card from Citibank, going back to 1987. When Henrietta said she didn't own a credit card at that time, this woman said yes she did, and said numerous notices were sent to the addresses they had for her, via her Trans-Union credit report. The woman said they would keep calling every day until this matter was resolved. This was too much for me, and when I told the woman my fiance didn't owe any money, she answered she would not speak to me, and then hung up.

We retrieved their number from the Caller ID on the phone and called THEM back. My fiance spoke to a man who said, that; unless the debt was paid, it would be on her credit report forever. Again, I took the phone from her, as she was becoming quite agitated. The man said she owed $1,400 and that they threatened to turn it over to another collection agency. He again demanded to speak to her, and when he did, he said that if Henrietta paid $210, he would consider the account paid in full. She replied she wasn't going to pay, and then hung up the phone.

After about an hour or so, I called the 877 number and found out, per a recorded message, that it was Camco. I then went on Henrietta's computer to see what I could find out on the Internet, on this company. I found out a lot!
