DO NOT buy from this company. You will not get your camera. The goal is only to sell accessories. If you refuse, the camera goes on backorder.
This is NOT a new problem - why will no one shut them down???
I purchased an Olympus Stylus 8000 Tough camera on 5/18/09. On 5/19/09 I recieved an email stating I needed to call and verify my order at 1-888-900-7468 x 204 and speak to James. I called at 4:19pm and was met with a hard upsell as James tried to sell me accessories at 3 and 4 times the retail price. When I declined all offers, I was told the camera is on backorder and would be shipping in appx 3 weeks. Immediately after the phone call, I did some research online and see this is a reoccuring problem. Apparently everyone is getting scammed and no one is stopping this company from this outright fraud. They now posess all my personal information and credit card information - I have a MAJOR problem with that. I was given the option on the website to cancel my back order, which I did at appx 4:45pm.
