While shopping for a digital camera, I ran across TheDigitalExpo.com site, which had one of the lowest prices for the model camera I wanted. I used TheDigitalExpo.com's web site to order the camera. At the end of the ordering process, I was informed that I would have to call their 800 phone number to verify my order. I called the 800 number and a recording told me TheDigitalExpo was closed for the day.

The next day, a representative of The Digital Expo called and enquired about my order. He tried to sell me a camera battery for $180 dollars and an extended warranty for $150 dollars. As I resisted his offers, the battery steadily dropped in price. When I refused his final offer of $65 dollars for the battery, he asked me why I was purchasing a refurbished camera. I replied that I had no intention of buying a refurbished camera and asked him where on his web site I might find information about the camera being refurbished. He blithely replied that this information was not on the web site. At this point I told him that I wished to cancel my order, that I would refuse any package sent to me by his company, and that I would instruct my credit card company not to accept any charges from The Digital Expo.
