On Wednesday April 4, 2012 we purchased a new 2011 Freedom Elite Rv from Camping World in Colfax, NC.  This unit was transferred to Colfax from Statesville, NC.  When we picked up this unit we were given a walk thru to show us how to operate this unit.  We left the Colfax store and drove the unit 6 hours to our home.

On Thursday I proceeded to get the unit ready for us to use.  When I put out the slide in the dinette there was a terrible noise.  There was a light missing in the hall, the bedroom door would not close properly, the privacy curtain would not hang around the windshield, the electric step squeaked and the outside door would not latch properly.

I immediately called the Colfax store.  I was told to take it to the Raleigh Store and have them bill the repairs to the Statesville store since they said the unit had been checked out. 

On April 12, 2012 we drove 3 hours to the Raleigh store.  We told them what the problems were and even gave them a list.  On Thursday April 19 I called Raleigh.  I was told it would probably take about a month to get the part and make the repairs.  On Monday the manufacturer called to thank us for buying our unit and said if we had any probles to let them know.  At that time I called them about the part needed to repair our unit.  I was told they could get it to Raleigh with overnight. I checked with Raleigh on April 28 and was told everything except the hall light was repaired.  I told them we would be there on Wednesday, May 2 to pick up unit.

When we arrived on May 2 we were told the light for the hall had not been ordered.  How long does it take to get overnight from the factory to your shop?  When we checked the unit before leaving their parking lot nothing had been done except the privacy curtain and the slide repair.  We told them we would implement our right to turn unit back in within 30 days and get our money back.
At that time we had repair men and service manager doing everything they could to get our unit fixed.  I asked the store manager why, if the unit had been on their lot approximately 3 weeks, why these repairs had not been done prior to us getting  there to pick up the unit.  All she could do was apologize.  I told her there was no excuse for this happening.

She made arrangements to have the light for the hall overnighted to my home.  The light should get here today, so far it has not arrived.
