Campus Lodge Apartments ripoff, harass, locked me out of my apartment with no reason, I was on time paying my rent and they always had a complaint w/ me My horrifying story of living there and I wrote it to save some other people problems and grief. Lutz Florida

I moved into Campus Lodge Apts. in Feb of this year. It is a "student housing" or individually leased by the room apartment complex. I first moved into a 2 bdrm. w/ my best friend but it was too expensive for me (rent goes up or down depending on # of bdrms.)

So I asked to move into a 4 bdrm. where I lived for 5 mos and had nothing but problem roomates who constantly ate my groceries, and ate other roomates' groceries. All this was going on while I was at work so I didn't know the whole situation, but then come to find out, the one roomate was telling the other I was eating all her food and using her stuff eg: laundry detergent etc. Which at this time was kind of impossible because I was never home during that time. I was working a lot of hours. So unknowingly to myself, they were going to the office to complain about me constantly.

So finally it ended after a big confrontation and a "meeting" that was very ridiculous and I decided to leave because people were there that didn't need to be, for example, boyfriends of the other roomates, stepmom, stepsisters etc. These were people who weren't on a lease in that apartment. So that is why I left the so-called meeting. And as I was leaving I asked the "proprietor" to move me asap, because I was tired of dealing w/ this b.s and stress (I had enough w/ my job). So I went home just to get a few things so I could go stay w/ my mom until the apartment was situated for me to move in (and by the way no-one was home, they were all still at the office).

So I come back to the complex the next morning and the joke of a "proprietor" tells me, "we have a little bit of a problem". So I say what's that? Well your roomates said you threatened them and they went down and got a restraining order against you, so we changed the locks. OK! I was like what???

So then after about 4 days of being quote unquote homeless, she finally had an apt for me to move into and meanwhile I was never served w/ this so called restraining order. My mom has a friend that works for the state attorneys office that can look up to see if things have been filed and still to this very day NOTHING was ever filed!!! And I never got any compensation or apoplgies for the lies and inconvenience! And after moving to this new apartment the girls who were already there didn't like me (mainly because one of them had a cousin who was really supposed to move in there next month, which is also something the office neglected to tell me).

So they of course went to the office to "complain" again and ask that I be moved because they want their friend/cousin to live there not someone they don't know. So again, I move and also lose my job mainly because of all this chaos, and end up having to move back home. The "proprietor" tells me she will let me out of the lease "scott free" so I move out and call and call and leave her messages and she never seems to call me back. She seems to be soo s****.> Then finally I go up there and I hear I am still responsible for my lease and that it is in collections!! SO at this point I am PISSED OFF ROYALLY! And then I get to talk to the great "proprietor" and she tells me ok well I will re-let (sublease) it for you and you can just pay your utilities overage in installments.

So ok I finally got it in writing and got out of the hell hole of Campus Lodge! They also play favorites in that office for example: if your parents pay your rent they treat you like something extra special, and they also break rules like letting you have cats and open up extra bedrooms for "storage" if your parents pay your rent. No.1, pets are not allowed at all, and every bedroom is an individual lease and each costs to be opened and if corporate knew and saw some of these things that branch would be shut down and or/all staff there would be fired! This was my horrifying story of living at campus lodge and I wrote it to save some other people some problems and grief.
