Jay Allen of Camshaft Innovations Supplied the heads for my race engine and here is how they turned out...  Pulled valve covers off and noticed one valve was up higher than the rest, ran my straight edge over the valve tips and sure enough the #6 intake valve was .040" higher than the rest.

Thinking I had a bent valve or cracked seat I removed the heads. When I took the heads apart I found gulled up retainers (mind you this engine never ran..) & used locks that were very beat up. Removing the valves It looked like that seat was installed deeper than the rest..... But upon further inspection, jay must have had this valve job done at napa because the seat was cut a mile deep.

On to the springs... I had seat pressures that ranged from 380psi to 260psi.... Install heights from 2.140" to 2.030" all over the map.

Quick call to jay I get "its fine run it, your retainers are new they were just installed by an idiot...."

That's when I cut my ties - jay wants to make thing right with me he better fork over about $1,500 for fixing that valve job, new valve train & for sending me a carb not tuned for my engine. That's right I also bought a Pro Systems carb for him for $1,500 and he sent me a used carb..... 

Once I got with a real engine builder they told me the cam he ground for my engine was a joke...   Stay away from this guy he has ripped off MANY MANY people...  Just search the forums and read....
