My girlfriend purchased a GPS system for me and when I opened the product (after the 7 day period) I realized that they had given me the wrong product! I knew that the 7 days period thing was going to be an issue, but it was given as a gift to me hence the delay, and shouldn't the customer have some kind of guarantee that the product they pay for is the product they get??
I'm wondering why none of their products are factory sealed anyway. That totally supports the countless other complaints I've read online about Canada Computers selling refurbished/damaged goods as "new."
My girlfriend lost over $200 bucks on this now (the product in the box was much inferior), and to add insult to injury, the d**n store manager (Roy) actually accused US of trying to scam THEM. Absolutely ridiculous. I complained, but the manager basically laughed in my face, knowing that I can't do much about it.
There's got to be something that can be done about this.

You failed to mention to the staff when it was purchased that the box had been tampered with. You never asked that it be inspected before purchase. You also waited 7+ days to do anything about it. I would also be suspicious of you and assume you had switched it yourself.
