After searching for a pomeranian puppy for quite some time, I decided to look at a puppy in Houston, TX, near my home.  It was 2 months old.  The so-called breeder gave me a discount because I had a fixed price (you could tell she was anxious to get rid of it).  I took my pom to the vet that day and I was informed he had bilateral MPL's and Heavy Coccidia.  I should have realized this when she offered me a dose of medication for the dog before leaving.  After paying I ask for his papers (she said she would send to me--this is illegal which I found out later).  After paying she told me he wasn't AKC but instead CKC.  She said if he was AKC he would be at least $3000.  What a joke, I could had an AKC plus shipping for that amount.

After finding out how sick he was, I had to keep him quarantined from my other dogs for over a month because coccidia is very contageous.  When I called she had the audacity to say she wouldn't pay for medical bills because she had already given me a discount.

Now let's get to the main problem here.  I supposedly bought a toy pom--he is as tall as a small collie and looks like one too.  His legs are a foot or more long.  His fur is fluffy but not at all like a pom.  When I called her regarding this, she said that he doesn't have the same number of layers of fur--can you believe her lies.  She said "well you can return him for your refund--yeah, who would give up your baby after 5 or 6 months!!!!!  After 5 months and several calls to her by me and also a friend, she finally said she had gotten papers but wasn't sure whether they were my dog's or not and ask his birthday.  Anyway I finally got the papers (authenic or not) and it specifically says papers are to be given to buyer when dog is bought.  The questionnaire asked that particular question.

If anyone purchases an animal from this "rip-off" women, they need to have brain examined.  I should have been smarter than I was since my dogs have all been registered AKC and I received their registration the very moment of the purchase.

My toy pom weighs in at 23 pounds

AUTHOR: Charlie - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, May 23, 2019

Very similiar story my toy pom now at 3 years old is 23 pounds and can hardly walk because of severe arthritis diagnosed by 2 different vets and xrays to prove it. These jackasses at candyland poms are obviously breeding unhealthy dogs and selling them as premium puppys. How dare they and when I complained she said watch out my husbands a cop. To which I replied are you threatening me...and oh no no. Stay away from them its ashamed breeding sick or disabled dogs should be a crime where they should serve time and pay a major fine including her crooked husband.
